Ooooh, I liked this! Dark, heavy, menacing and haunting, a deep male voice... Some of my favourite ingredients, as you know. 😉 In fact, this reminded me of a band I have mentioned to you before, Anathema, but I haven’t listened to it in many, many years, so I can't really say if my memory isn't tricking me. 🤔 Haha, beware of false endings! 😁

Thanks for the reaction! I really love Visions in Blue, the atmosphere and build-up is just awesome! But yeah, it has a gothic soundscape to it!

Was waiting for this one for a while now. This is in my Top 3 Ultravox songs and depending on my mood it tops the list. It has a scope of epic grandeur and sadness, the lyrics are deep and meaningful and the vocal is simply sensational. I love singing it as well because it's actually a real vocal challenge. It definitely is quite different in its feel to other tracks. About the only critical note I have of this version of the track is that I think the instrumental bridge section goes one repeat too long (maybe even two) before the big slow climax just because its the same musical phrase over and over and so becomes just a little boring. But the dynamic vocal shift in the last verse, for me, is just spine tingling.

che coincidenza..oggi su Facebook avevo letto su una delle loro pagine non ufficiali : "quale canzone vi piace di più degli ultravox?". La risposta erano tutte le canzoni loro, più di 2000 risposte (non le ho lette tutte).....nelle prime 200 risposte non c'era la mia preferita : MAN OF TWO WORLDS. Ascoltala!!! ciao!

"Visions In Blue" and “Serenade” are the songs I like least on Quartet. Their structure goes round in circles and leads nowhere. What's more, I find the grandiloquent aspect of the music a bit tiresome, but I suppose there's something for everyone!😉
