Had a RRover for over 3 years sold it last year, pain in the arse motor with some light or other coming on frequently gearbox problem at 80000, despite being serviced at 55000. Alternator packed in , started using water, I changed the oil every 6000 miles at least the crank didn't snap, you would think an expensive car like the RRover would be more reliable.

They`re a money pit, i had one same as yours 2018 70k on the clock northing but issue after issue, after 4k down the drain in repairs i got rid. The only people who love Range Rovers are the Garages as they rub their hands together when you pull up!

I’m running a 2018 RR Velar, had it since new with no major problems to date at 60k. It has the dreaded 2.0 ingenium diesel engine that still sounds sweet however I do change oil and filter every 10k rather than the stupendous 21k that LR recommends.

No, I wouldn’t buy a Landrover or Range Rover. The running costs are going to be steeper than they are now, especially if the UK government double down on their road tax assault, because it’s diesel and not electric. The cost of parts and servicing will see a hike in prices as inflation bites. The other problem is low emission zones in cities, another spiteful charge to come on everything that’s not electric.

Had a 2008 Discovery, brilliant car with no problems in 3 years of ownership. Service them regularly, and you shouldn't have problems. I changed oil & filter every 6k.

The white FFRR, being a 2014 MY will have the slightly older dash and won't have start/stop or adblue meaning its Euro 5, no ULEZ and higher car tax than the 65 plate onwards. Also the rear suspension looked a little low.

To put in perspective, the 2 full size Range Rovers, in particular the grey one, would have been the best part of £80k+ when new, assuming there were not hiding any "horrors" then they were exceptional value for money, the white one more so, put a private plate on it & you can have the champagne lifestyle for beer money, that is until something goes wrong & they will go wrong, that is a dead cert 🙄👍

Don’t bother going to JLR for their ‘premium’ servicing … I had a RR Evoque from new and 3 years afterwards couldn’t get into the car due to faulty central locking. My local mechanic couldn’t fix it so I had to use JLR. Not only did they not fix it properly (they repaired the wrong side!) they didn’t even bother to test it before I collected it at the end of the day. As you can imagine, the alarm went off … and so did my patience! I would never buy a JLR again unless they can show assurances that it can be a reliable ‘premium’ product… eg full 6 year warranty. Can’t see that happening😂

I bought a 2005 vouge for very little money air suspension problems..... I'm lucky I can fix the thing myself....... It's off the road now as the high pressure fuel pump is leaking and exhaust manifold studs have snapped off..... It will be back on the road one day 😂😂😂
