You can't beat properly cooked, oven-roasted potatoes. Yours looked smashing, Keith! The pie looked delicious. I'm surprised at the outcome. There is a Walter Smith (inside Dobbies) about 15 miles from me and their lasagne is the nicest [other than homemade] I've ever tried. The rare roast beef they sell is soooo juicy 😋 Given the prices and the fact it's not generally a direction I travel, a visit there is a treat.

Potatoes are classed as baking 'cos of size, and floury texture. That makes them perfect for roasting, too. I'd've peeled them too, but used a peeler so there's less waste.

Keith whatever the cost, whatever it's taste, I couldn't eat this pie anyway because of the gluten. Some of the Aussie family pies range from AUD $18.00 to $30.00 depending on the bakery. So for 6 quid you didn't do too badly even at the reduced price. I'd gladly have a plate of those roasties, beans, broccoli and gravy. Geez mate there's quite some confusion over the title of this video. I think a few candles have been extinguished! 😕 Cheers guys 👍😀
