When Savannah James called LeBron James the “goat” the second time at the 2023 ESPY Awards, she added one word by saying, “the goat, respectfully” because: 1) Nobody cheered, applauded, or clapped when she called LeBron James “the goat” the first time; 2) Even Savannah James realized that she had offended that crowd of pro-athletes and sports champions, because by calling LeBron James “the goat” on the ESPY stage, Savannah James was in essence insulting their intelligence AND she was making a mockery of professional sports. She was making a mockery of every level of athletics BECAUSE every single professional athlete and even every single member of the media and any human being in that building wants to be “the Michael Jordan of….” their chosen sport, their chosen media outlet, or their chosen field. We have never even heard of the phrase “the LeBron James of….” and surely no parent who loves their child would wish their child to be the “the LeBron James of….” OVER BEING “the Michael Jordan of” their chosen field. 🔥🔥🔥

Coincidence? And even with those massive advantages, he somehow has the most Finals game losses in history 22-33 with a -86 + / - throughout his 10 Finals appearances. Kobe is also the most popular basketball player in Japan. (2) That was the case BEFORE he died. For the record, I'd say basketball has become the most popular sport in China today.

In fairness to Lebron, I'd probably rank Lebron over Dirk. "Probably". Lebron would be the clear winner, if he represented the sport better. My biggest ding on Lebron is his "LeFraudness". Jordan really is the complete package. No debate. Lebron is a half step below Kobe, Magic, and Kareem in my opinion. Had he not done the "Lefraud" things, I would ranked tied with the others for #2 behind Jordan.

How many times and how many lists already have Michael Jordan as the greatest and best athlete in human history? ESPN ranked the Top 100 professional athletes since 2000 aka the Top 100 pro-athletes of the first 24 years of the 21st Century: 1) Michael Phelps, 2) Serena Williams, 3) Lionel Messi, 4) LeBron James at only number #4, 5) Tom Brady, 6) Roger Federer, 7) Simone Biles, 8) Tiger Woods, 9) Usain Bolt, 10) Kobe Bryant. However, when ESPN ranked the Top 100 professional athletes since 1900 to 2000 aka the Top 100 pro-athletes of the entire 100 years (the whole Century)of the 20th Century: 1) Michael Jeffrey Jordan easily won the #1 spot, 2) Babe Ruth, 3) Muhammad Ali, 4) Jim Brown, 5) Wayne Gretzky, 6) Jesse Owens, 7) Jim Thorpe, 8) Willie Mays, 9) Jack Nicklaus, 10) Babe Didrikson, 11) Joe Louis, 12) Carl Lewis, 13) Wilt Chamberlain, 14) Hank Aaron, 15) Jackie Robinson, 16) Ted Williams, 17) Magic Johnson, 18) Bill Russell. So Michael Jordan is the #1 GOAT Athlete of the whole 20th Century, and LeBron James is only the #4 Athlete of the 21st Century. 🔥

The Top-75 All-Time lists circa 2022 - ESPN, The Athletic, Bleacher Report, and SLAM Magazine all ranked Michael Jeffrey Jordan as The GOAT at #1 ALL-TIME, LeBron James at #2, and Kareem Abdul-Jabar at #3. The interesting discrepancy is the ranking of the late great Kobe Bean Bryant. Both ESPN and The Athletic ranked Kobe Bryant at #10, Slam Magazine ranked Kobe Bryant at #4, but Bleacher Report actually removed Kobe Bryant out of the Top-10 by ranking Bean as the #14 greatest basketball player of all-time.

The lucky for james that the poll took place in the US if they held it anywhere else, MJ probably would have more than 40%.

I voted in this poll, and I voted for Mike, that being said it was between him and Tom Brady for me, the craziest stat I've ever seen, look it up if you think I'm lying, it's fr lol, is that Tom Brady has won more Super Bowls than any NFL team, the Steelers and Patriots have won the most with 6 each(the Pats thanks to Brady lol) Tom Brady has won 7 Super Bowls

When I think of the word "athlete" I think of someone who is strong, fast, can jump high, dominates their particular sport and is an overall winner. Tom Brady is a winner but, he's not fast, he's not strong, and can't jump over a snail. Soccer players? I hardly consider them "strong". They certainly have excellent stamina, but that's only a part of what makes an excellent "athlete" A golfer considered a top "athlete"? Give me a break? Have you seen some of the golfers out there? As far as I'm concerned you can't be an "elite athlete" if you're overweight and can wear a suit to play your sport. In fact, I don't consider golf a "sport", I consider it a game. Boxers? I certainly consider them more of an athlete than a golfer, or a quarterback, or a soccer player. However, when was the last time you saw a boxer compete in the 100 yard dash? Or the high jump? Jim Thorpe was considered an excellent athlete. He excelled in everything he did. I would put him above most of these "so called" top athletes. As much as MJ is the greatest basketball player ever, Wilt Chamberlain was a much better "athlete". There is NOTHING Wilt didn't excel at as far as sports. He was arguably the fastest basketball player ever, as well as the strongest who ever played the game. Jumping? Give me a break! He excelled in professional volleyball and was the all time leader in rebounds per game. Blocks? Come on, if they kept that stat when he was playing, he would undeniably hold that record as well. Now, before any of you get your panties all bunched up, prove me wrong.

Nah... Bonds' legacy is tainted by steroid use, and Griffey just didn't accomplish enough in his career. If you ignore steroid use and just look at the achievements, you could make a case for Bonds. I love Griffey, but come on... what are you even thinking with that statement? There would be at least 5 or 10 other baseball players you have to put before him.

Plus I don't know what people are tripping on what about babe Ruth he must of been on something when he retired he had 714 home runs the got in second at that time had about 75 how was he hitting home runs the fields were farther when baseball went on strike in 94 what they do to get baseball back on track home runs they made the ball tighter to make it easier to hit home runs and everyone got a new stadium that was smaller back than center field fence would be 500 ft or more you know Willie Mays before he came to San Francisco when the giants were still in New York he made that basket catch it was about 500ft or more

The Sun, a UK newspaper, conducted a worldwide poll late last year. Jordan again made #1 on their list. Again, this is an ENGLISH newspaper where football is king and basketball might not even make the top ten of most popular sports. But Jordan was ranked #1. Regardless, all you need to do is google 'greatest athlete of all time' and you'll see Jordan listed time and time again. LeBron's average is outside of the top ten.
