Men have been dressing that way and wearing the same hairstyle before her husband was born. Aside from that, Joe's clothing and hairstyle would have been chosen by stylists. As for the theory this was staged, I don't think this was staged at all. Even in other unrelated clips I've seen of her, the expressions on her face really bother me (not to be mean). The sort of person you feel happy for when they do well. These two? Not so much. They did us all a favour by ending their careers.
