@@MissTrudyy There are many different Race living in Jamaica, dated back to the 18 century, that's why the motto is out of many one people. There's Portuguese Jews from Portugal, The Chinese, The Indians, the Syrians, the Lebanese, The Germans, the Irish, The Scottish , Africans. Jamaica is a country that have every Nationalities living there, born and Raised.. you can find Russian, Ukrainian, Italian, Denmark, Spanish etc.

@@doablediyhomedecor Love my Africans but they make some insensitive assumptions all the time .I am a Jamaican of Indian heritage who supports her but I realise other races of Jamaicans are push to the side when Africans come around . We may be the minority but our contributions to Jamaica are just as important and should ne highlighted and make mentioned. Jamaicans like to put on a clown show when Africans comes around. It's no more out of many again. It's let me see how Africans I can be to appease "mama Africa"

Hi Trudy I'm so happy you're visiting Jamaica..I see you both are experiencing many things about Jamaica but the real roots of ska, rock steady and reggae music started in the first music studio in Jamaica. The name (Studio One )is located in Kingston I think it will be a great recognition of the Roots of reggae music. Is where the greatest artists and musicians originated, like Bob Marley, Peter tosh, Bunny wailer, and the Maestro Jackie Mittoo and so many more..I myself had the honor to be part of Studio One... Creator and owner of Studio One..Sr Coxone I have not seen anyone talk about it... Just a thought 🤔 Give thanks! One love ❤

We would hop from beach to beach and purchased jerk pork and chicken at Pork Pit. Look at Famous Sam Sharp Square. Named after our national hero.

It a shame, but it's true , the school system were designed for colonial benefits. African teaching or learning about Africa was not done in school . The music of Bob and other artists, along with small groups living on the island who kept connected to the ancestors ways. Marcus Garvey remain one of the main figure in my youth days with a strong connection through his movement for Africa. I am really enjoying the trip along with you guys through the blogs.🇯🇲🇸🇳

Hello. KFC lines are always long, in the evenings are school is finished, it's like a race every day to see who'll reach down there the fastest. Have you ever been to Port Antonio? There's the Errol Flynn marina, Titchfield High School (a historical school of sorts aka my school) and for fun, there's the Bayshore Plaza (a game shop is located there) which is right across from Port Antonio High School.

You are doing an awesome job showcasing the islands and the connection to Africa. I hope next time you guys can visit the other islands like Grenada, St. Lucia, St Vincent. Especially Carriacou one of the sister island of Grenada, they are very traditional in keeping the culture of the African ancestors ❤🙏

$ 300 for patties is not expensive. Beef is expensive. Price of electricity to bake them is expensive. We call the people selling " street vendors ". I just love how you are taking in our culture. Oh no Miss Trudie. You told that guy he doesn't look Jamaican. We come in different shades. I don't look like Jamaican either but I am. You have to go to St. Elizabeth the next time you come. You'll get a culture shock. Some people there have blue eyes and green eyes. We are all Jamaicans.

@876dfuture, Our Jamaican motto is "Out of many one people". That is because there are mostly Africans but there are Indians, Chinese, Europeans, Syrians, and more nationals because of slavery. I went to school with a girl who had blond hair and I never knew it was blond until I saw Marilyn Monroe's picture. I'm from St Elizabeth but I'm always taken for Porto Rican here in the US.
