@TheLifeofJohn I'll offer you a tip or two if I may and feel free to use it or ignore it. If wearing for example Sauvage Elixir, one to two sprays in summer, two to three sprays in winter 😎 I tend to ignore KZbin "influencers" that say [insert particular brand names] it's a winter scent or it's a autumn scent and shouldn't be worn in the heat etc, etc. If you like a fragrance wear it all year round if you want to. Just use less sprays in the summer and problem solved. (If it's a powerful fragrance obviously, yes)

Brilliant, thank you for explaining those particular styles of classic shoe. I love my derby brogue, I've never seen or heard of that derby Gibson, that's a shoe I'd like to have.

Hi, I've been watching your videos for approx 2 weeks now. Your channel is one of my favourites. Have learnt so much about men's shirts/ collars and now shoes! I love your accent and the way you use your hands to present/ describe the items of clothing. Your video demonstrating how to clean shoes and fasten ties - very interesting. Later on in the year will pop in to your shop, would love to sit in that chair and just take in all the surroundings. Although am a woman, there is something special about your shop, so will definately buy something to take back as a souvenier (even if its Rhodes Wood mug). Was thinking if you wanted to expand your business profile, you could always have a posh tearoom next to your shop (their could be an interenal adjoining door), so folk can shop first before having a lovely pot of tea. Thanks again for taking the time for making wonderful videos. All the best.

Short and concise, they way it should be, thank you! Btw, when I was a teen in the 80s, a tasseled loafer was called a Sailor Shoe here abouts, and were quite popular with jeans among teen boys. How times do change, eh? Tally-ho from Denmark!

It must be born in mind that although the oxford is more formal than the derby there is a reason for prefering the latter. If you have a high instep (like I do) the derby is more practical and comfortable as it opens wider.

It depends on the design though... I tried a derby just two days ago and that upper part was painful and then I teied an oxford and it was way more comfy

The oxford cap toe is the most elegant shoe in this grouping?

The argument goes between captoe oxfords vs. wholecut oxfords, where the shoe is made from a single piece of leather with no stitches or seams on the upper. They may however be tighter fitting so there is not so much room for the toes. I would personally always go for the captoe oxfords as it is more versatile.

The best one we do is Bradford by Crockett and Jones, but you would need to see a specialist to try and correct as much of your symptoms too ( I’m sure you already are)🤝

Thank you for your reply.I have already been to the specialist and he gave me insoles.it does not help
