I love how Marvel's bad heroes are actually way better than this lot, Flatman is just Mr Fantastic but permanently 2D, he was a member of the Great Lakes Champions (formerly Great Lakes Avengers but Tony Stark deadass sued them) and in one cataclysmic battle he sacrificed himself to save everyone from a big bad. A couple issues later though it's revealed that he never died, he just turned sideways to go invisible because his clothes were singed off in the explosion.

She commanded the Camino planetary defences in team with Obi-Wan, during the well...battle of Camino (in fact of Tipoca, which has seemed to be the Capital city of the planet) during which, while needing Obi-Wan's skills to correct a tactical error on her own in the beginning, she still managed to command Clone Troopers of the defence force, and during the successful repelling attack, to block an undersea leak on the city's walls (using the Force) and afterwards to throw at least 4 drilling droids against each other to explode mid-air, another time using the Force. She directly opposed to Sith Padawan and Separatist General Grievous at least TWICE, and still survived to tell the story. During the hopelessly lost battle of Hypori, she was one of the only THREE Jedis surviving (among a number of at least 7), all the Clone Troopers having been eradicated during the battle. During the battle of Coruscant, not only did she survived her second encounter with Grievous, but she dispersed his Palpatine-kidnapping commando all the way around the Capital city, and her and her team managed to take more than 30 high-end droids (she managed to take 6-8 Magnadroids on her own). Pardon my ignorance, for I am but a simple straight, white, cis-male, but I don’t think representation should be lit up like a neon sign and shoved down the audience’s throats. It should be casually written into the story or universe, without any kind of fanfare or “look! Look! See the representation?” The whole point is to break down barriers and to show that no matter your gender, race, or orientation, we’re all people and we’re all equal, right? So treat the minority characters the same way you would treat the majority characters. You don’t need to bring up the fact that your protagonist is gay in every episode, or mention that their best friend is non-binary in every chapter. You wouldn’t do that with straight or binary characters so don’t treat these characters any different. Make it *Normal*. That doesn’t mean that you can’t or shouldn’t use these traits in your writing. It’s a character’s quirks and unique traits that make them so interesting and are why the audience invests in THEIR story, not just THE story. Throw in a romantic subplot about your homosexual heroine’s search for love, but treat it the same as you would a straight romantic subplot. Or, maybe the character’s family disapproves or an organization looks down on them because of their identity. You can use the characters’ personal plot lines to explore the cultural and social characteristics of the world you’ve built. Play it up for a laugh now and then or keep it as serious as you want. Just remember that these traits should be used to support the characters and the stories, not overshadow them.
