Thank you for making this video. I’m a new shooter. Older, eyes have changed and probably need bifocals. But I’m stubborn. Lot of gems there. Trying to get my grouping tight like you both shot. But lm struggling with sight pictures and alignment. I have a Glock 45 that came with ameriglo H3 w00 sights that have a U notch. I purchased a Glock 45 because that’s what the instructor owned and allowed me to use to qualify for my CC License. But his had stock sights. But l struggle with the traditional sight picture of having everything level. Because when I do this. My shots always hit low and usually to the left as lm right handed. Even when l have a 6 o’clock hold. My shots hit low. Combat hold top of the front sight. Still low. If look at my self in the mirror the angle of the gun seems to naturally point down. Don’t know if that’s just the Glock grip angle or what. But if l change my sight picture to adjust for this, to get my barrel up to where l think it’s aligned. My front sight will be higher. Like a quarter of an inch higher than my rear sights. I start to get on target and the bullet goes where I’m intending it to go. My consistency and groups are not tight as I’m new to shooting. But my sight picture is not correct based off of conventional teaching. So lm trying to figure out if these sights are just trash and need to be changed, or if it’s just something mechanical that I’m doing. I’m not crazy about the U notch on my sights. Which sights are you running? Are they suppressor height sights. And did you upgrade the trigger of your Glock? I noticed it is red and resembles an apex trigger. Get a red dot. It takes a bit to get use to them but overall it’s a dominate method. I have several videos on red dot as well. I run supp height, blacked out rear and orange or red front sight.

Quick question regarding 9mm ballistics. Obviously on a pistol the sight to bore offset is minimal but how much do you have to adjust hold over or under if at all when firing 9mm in distances under 10 yards? Does 9mm bullet rise when it leaves the barrel of a standard 4 in barrel?

Bullets dont rise. When you zero your pistol it is zeroed at a certain distance. When you get closer than that distance the bullet will strike low because of sight over bore. Its going to depend on your pistol and your ammo. Get out and train

Unless you are shooting dots, then there isn’t much need for holds unless you are wanting to clear a physical object. I teach to hold in the upper thoracic. For whatever reason his round was producing a higher impact, sight type) so I had him hold lower. As far as ballistics, point and shoot well over 100 yards with a 9mm. It’s only a few inches in difference as far as impact. Inside 10 yards your impact will be the distance of the sights to the center of the barrel. (Height Over Bore) 🙏

@@mehicanbls1526 guess I could’ve asked that question better. Obviously gravity won’t let the bullet physically rise but the barrel is slight pointed upward. The sights are set to interest with the flight of the bullet. Frogman Tactical answered it. Was just wondering if you have to account for that small offset in a close distance when the bullet leaves before it intersects with the line of sight but I guess it’s very minimal.

Shooting Low Left with a G43X. On the same day with a G23, CZ SP01, and even a G20 I hit center mass. I have big hands(long fingers..Im tall and thin) could it be the grip on the 43x is to small for me or is it ALWAYS trigger issues; jerking the trigger? or is my Glock 43x just inaccurate, which is what my Ego is telling me..?

😂 That’s common. 6:30-7:30 is trigger jerk and is the most common issue 7:30-8:30 is changing your grip as you pull the trigger. Do the Squeeze drill and it will fix it.

Thank you. I have two main program. One in Piru CA and the other in Midland TX. They train one weekend per month in different areas. Outside of that I offer private trainings for individuals, private groups, religious establishments, and businesses. I don’t do any one off classes right now. This is a pretty informative video. I can't really comment on technique, but using lavalier mics, a small mixer and more importantly a limiter for the gunshots will greatly improve the video quality moving forward. Having the volume at a good level for the voices made the gunshots incredibly loud.

Excellent Sir! Jason I learned that exact technique from former Green Beret Ed Eliason. But, we weren't shooting bullets. Mr. Olympian taught me how to shoot bows and arrows with that exact trigger pull. So, I have spent the past hour trying to locate your exact "knife & sheath" 😂 with no luck.
