Shooting my SIG P210 and Glock17

Which shoots better? The expensive classic SIG P210 (1949 Swiss ) all steel inside rail 9mm pistol. Or polymer, most popular modern law enforcement favourite Glock 17.
The 210 is generally more precise. It took awhile before I got used to my Glock trigger creep. In the end, I can pretty much shoot the same group with my different guns. Lesson learned, before you change the sights or triggers, get to know them first...

The SIG P210 is probably the best pistol ever made. Mine is 40 years old now and it is still acurate enough for shooting 50m contest.

Thanks! That is correct. It's my friend's (who was filming) gun, Sphinx 2000S - C75 design. The tolerance of the slide is amazing...you can feel it when you rack the slide of both the 210 and 2000, like on glass, making both very precise. Glocks however would be more rugged and reliable in dusty conditions. It took more time for me to adjust to the trigger...but very accurate too. Fun fact, 210s are sighted for 50m so you have to aim lower than 6 oclock, Glock aim at dead center,

Very nice video and range. The range I go to here in the US you have to walk down to your targets, which is a pain when you need to run back and forth at the 100 meter range during the cease fire. Also very nice pistols. I have always been a fan of Swiss pistols and I personally love the P210. I just wish they were more common over here.

Excellent shooting my friend! I am debating getting the P210 American version or a CZ Shadow 2. I recently handled one locally at a Cabelas store and racking the slide was even nicer than some of my Dan Wesson 1911's. The slide felt like it was on well lubricated ball bearings.

Thanks man. I also have a CZ SP01 Shadow v1 and it's also wonderful. It's for IPSC since my 210 (real Army version) is single stack and does not have the capacity. But in terms of accuracy and precision and consistency, it's the 210. Now the US version has the slide release , nice wood grips, beaver tail, adjustable rear sight, etc. you're a winner! Don't worry too much about..'Oh, it's not made in Switz.' comment. Am sure SIG made sure of the quality. Anyway, same as you, my first image when I racked the slide...ball bearings. Or from my Pinoy childhood ...marbles or jolens. ;-).

nl311 Thanks for your insight my friend! I think I'm sold on the P210. My 1st handgun was a P239 I bought in the states. Then last year I picked up a P226 Legion. Although I grew up shooting 1911s back in Pinas. I'll let you know how it shoots. Take care!

I'm quite surprise about the Glock. Not bad at all for a duty pistol. Do you use a combat hold with it (the front sight completely cover the target)?

nice shooting! My thoughts all along, my Beretta APX, Walther PPQ M2, and Sig P320 Full size can all shoot groups freehand at 75 yards the same. I think most guns are more accurate than us. The P210 seems nice but not worth the dollars
