Let’s start with this all bullets have to potential to kill or stop a threat. The thing that makes all the difference is what are the other capabilities of the round. Frangible rounds offer less benefit compared to other types of rounds. They have poor barrier performance and aren’t as effective at wounding due to low overall penetration compared to other rounds. Will they hurt, injure or kill well yeah even throwing a rock hard enough may do that but what benefits do you get from this compared to other rounds? None. Truth be told though many believe hollow points are the best fluted rounds are actually the best as they offer barrier blindness and the fluid transfer creating a larger cavity while still not over penetrating in flesh. They also don’t rely on expansion which is by design inherently more consistent than a bullet that does rely on expansion. If anyone is interested let me know I’ll link to the results of joint agency testing that taught me a lot of this.
