Just Incase anyone is still watching this, I've had this exact hardrock since 2013 and she is still going strong. No problems even when using fairly heavy trails. My only compliment would be the suntour fork, but I plan on replacing it soon. Love this bike, and plan on keeping it another two years till I get myself a full suspension camber

I just upgraded the fork and derailleurs on mine it's a 2014 hardrock sport disc I put rockshox recon RL A2 and a SRAM XO rear and SRAM x5 front salon some riser bars it's a completely different experience now

@@joshuabangean4761 hey man, I’m looking at the recon rl’s as well for mine, and some schwable nobby nics. 29x2.25’s. Are you still a fan of the upgrades you did? All I’ve done to mine is swap to a 30mm riser bar, and I like the bike as well. I heard the recons are almost 2 lbs lighter than the factory sun tour was.

I got this bike as my first mountain bike and i would reccomend it to anyone looking for a solid all around good bike. It performs well on and off road and the disk brakes are really nice.

I have a 2010 Hardrock disk. Matter of fact,I have two of the same bike. I bought one for me and one for my son when he was in his teens. He has no interest in it now so it's mine! I'm going to set them both up for me. I'm 58,so they will be all the bikes I'll need.

I changed out the stock grips on my 2014 Hardrock for Orion ergo grips, also a Orion 4 bolt headset, and MSW rack in the rear, Alex DP20 double wall rims as well. Solid everyday ride! I'm 6'0" 240lbs too!

I bought a $25 91 hardrock that was in horrible shape but it fixed up really nice and easily, would recommmend any specialized bike to anyone

i cant believe you didn't hit on the front suspension, it is one of the main components for a mt bike especially for a beginner, is the front suspension adjustable

Unfortunately, no. Those bigger wheels won't fit into the frame or fork.
