I work at a popular fast food restaurant and we are required to wear mask in order to work. Yeah it gets hot breathing into it and it hurts after a while but I can go home know I did everything I could to protect people from this virus. We also require gloves and change them every 30 minutes. These precautions are to protect people. Please listen to the CDC.

I also think it never had to get this bad and many let us down along the way that we pay to protect us with our tax payer dollars. This was preventable from getting so out of control. Since it's out of control, it stands to reason that we need to take control of it, even if in the interim we give up some temporary freedom. I understand you, after 911 we did give up freedoms to this day. Some I agree with for safety reasons as much as I don't like them. Yet others I don't agree with on any level. Right now safety is my biggest concern. Once we get out of this healthy and alive is when I can focus on any unnecessary government control. Right now I'm with Costco and any business that makes this requirement of customers, it does not seem unreasonable to me at all under these circumstances. I am not open to losing a hundred million people like we did during the Spanish flu.

I am a nurse who works almost exclusively with Covid patients, just I have a enough sense to know that stores shouldn't enforce this rule. Also most people wear them incorrectly, or take them down to speak. Not touching your face and washing your hands before eating should have a bigger effect on slowing the spread.

@@laurajaye9 Shopping in a store with a mask is not "prolonged" use. Surgeons spend hours in surgery wearing masks and they don't experience hypoxia. When the virus first hit China and Italy there was so little PPE that doctors and nurses had to wear the same mask for up to 10 hours, unable to take it off or lower it, becoming dehydrated, to continue to treat patients. If they took their masks off, they couldn't use them again, so they fainted from lack of water (going 10 hours sometimes with a mask to save lives) but never from hypoxia. Never was there a breathing issue.

Infected 75,000 Tested positive 1,228,000 = a morbidity rate of 5.82%. That number is probably much lower because there are people who have been infected but not tested positive. Let them try. Costco has a very complete database. If you lapse and renew in under 90 days, your membership end date goes back to when it would have expired before. I took a Summer off for travel and had to wait an extra couple weeks before rejoining. Their computer had every purchase I made for at least a decade.

The people who complain about their right not to have to wear a mask ignorantly believe that the mask is to protect only them. While a cloth mask does offer some protection for the wearer , the main purpose for wearing a mask is to protect other people even if the person wearing the mask is asymptomatic. Think about it, when you sneeze into a tissue or cover your cough, you are protecting other people by reducing the number of germs you are spewing into the air and onto surfaces.

Being a veteran worker in the retail environment, I can guarantee everyone, who is complaining about the mask rule, are also the ones not following social distancing rules. People will get right into your personal space and get mad when you back away. I have this happen to me multiple times. Anything that companies can do to protect their employees is welcome in my book. Also, you complain about wearing the mask on your shopping trip, think about the worker wearing the mask for almost their entire shift. It may be uncomfortable for short time your in the store but trying wearing it for eleven hours. We don't complain that loudly because it is one of the things keeping us from getting sick.

jon doh wearing masks is to protect others, not you. It’s mainly spread via droplets when the infected person speaks, coughs, or sneezes. Any mask will help stop the droplets from spreading into the air. Some better than others. Because there are both asymptomatic people, and people who don’t see symptoms for several days, if not weeks. It was recommended that people start wearing masks in crowded areas. Stop being an entitled little brat.

2 years ago in the Walmart market near my house, by the bagging area the Walmart logo reads Think 6?? Hmm that's strange. This was back in 2018. 2 years later social distance 6 feet. This is all a plandemic, pre conditioning, brainwashing. Walmart has this new touch free payment thing for the phone, I said no thanks. I'm a Cash and coin person, my card in the past has been hacked 2 times, I said that's it back to the basics, cash is simple, cash is freedom. If the system goes down at least with cash you have a tangible currency on hand. But people nowadays don't think about that but only the convenience.

I was in Sam's Club last week. They only allowed 100 in the entire warehouse. They handed you a disinfecting wipe as you went in, there were 6' lines on the floor. Every single person in line except one had gloves and mask on. Just to add, I'm over 60 so was there during early hour.
