If u want an S550, I would say aim for 2018 or 2019. You get a hp bump to 460HP, bigger valves, and direct and port fuel injection. It takes mods really well and it's super reliable

Building an inexpensive car like a subi, mustang, is way better content then buying some high end expensive car Yea expensive car is nice, flashy, fast But dropping another 20k into a car that originally cost 30-40k is the way to do it #builtnotbought

I understand what you're saying, though. I may also be the outlier in wanting to see people do cool things with vehicles that I cannot feasibly do because I'm not making money off of the content of doing so.

6th gen Camaro SS would be cool to see. Fantastic car. It will out-handle an S550 GT (especially with 1LE package but even without, the chassis is superior) and have a much better Tremec manual transmission. I loved mine. Only problem is the visibility. It’s true that it feels like you’re in a cave.

You should consider a c7 corvette if you’re wanting to stick with American made. They have a huge platform for mods or look for a bmw m5. With the m5 there is still a large range of options for mods

Absolutely loved my Shelby GT350 - they're selling at comparable rates to the GR Corolla. Whole lotta car for the money. I had a 2015 GT Performance Package Premium, loved it. Only quarrels with are the following: - Compared to the GT,I felt I had to for sure warm up the GT350. It is a track car, it does make weird noises. - Oil consumption wasn't as bad on mine, i had a 2017 with the Gen 1 Voodoo. They fixed it with the Gen 2 in later 18+ - I had to change, for peace of mind, every 4,000 miles. It takes 11-12 quarts, can't remember, and the filters need to be bought online. Sometimes hard but I never had a problem. Ordered 4 at a time. ($200 each oil change, did them myself). - Tires, expensive. 305's in the rear, people recommend 305's all around. - Amazing long distance driver though, with shitty fuel economy though. Got roughly 22 at best traveling from RDU, NC to Miami, FL - 11 hour drive. Was an amazing drive. Fits a lot! Compared to my S550 GT PP, I would say the GT350 def is the best pick. Doesn't come with ambient lighting, I added it on later myself. But what you pay for is 8,200 redline goodness! Nothing sounds like it. With either one, I highly recommend the factory Recaro seats for the additional driver feel! Alternatively, a BMW M4 F8x would be a good fit I feel. Single turbo with a good exhaust sounds monstrous.

Dude go happy medium… Audi RS5 around the 2015 era was a high revving v8, AWD and cheaper than any of these options. And it sounds INSANE Or a newer (2017+) Audi s5 can be tuned to be pretty crazy. And it’s faster than the Subaru and Corolla stock.

The GT350R is one of the best cars Ford has produced in my opinion. The voodoo power plant is so cool being in a American car, the flat plane crank allows the thing to rev to the moon and it being mated to a tremec 6 speed manual is so sick.

I can recommend getting an s550. I've had mine for just under 2 years. They are fun cars with very high aftermarket support. And you can find a good amount of s550s around 60k miles for under 25k. Just obviously be smart they are very easy cars to control as long as you respect it and don't try to do really really dumb stuff. The majority of drivers that put mustangs into crowds they hit the gas really hard while still turning and it throws the back end out. I've driven mine in rain and snow and been fine.

The only thing with getting the 2015 GT is the transmission the MT-82 is not a great transmission, especially the early S550. I would take a look at a Mach 1 S550. You get the Wonderful Tremec from the GT350 with the Reliable Gen 3 5.0.

Look into the Hyundai Veloster N or the Elantra N. There is an increase of companies making aftermarket things for them. The stock exhaust is pretty good, and Borla does a great job for an aftermarket one. I personally have a 2020 Veloster N and so far I have a Billetworkz short shifter and an AEM Intake. You can get BC coilovers as well (will be getting them soon).The Veloster N has either 250hp or 275 (base N or performance package) from a 2L 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. I think those cars are similar to the Miata, which is incredibly fun to drive. Yeah you could buy a “performance car” like a M3, 911, Supra, etc. but there’s not much room to improve on (my opinion). I think the Elantra N starts at $34k and the Veloster N you can only get used now. I know people will make fun of me but I do enjoy the car a lot….I just wish I could fit 2 car seats in it 😂.

GT mustang would be great but don’t go older than a 2018. Transmissions before weren’t as good and you get hp boosts on the 2018 up S550 and can get active exhaust as well for sound.

I vote for the 350. But if you go that route, make sure you upgrade the oil pump gears. Or if you go with a regular S550, boost is always fun 😬

I’ve had a gt350 and it’s not very practical but very fun. I now own a VB wrx and yes it’s boring from the factory but when you start to mod it becomes much better. The potential is there!

I don’t think you should get the 350R if you were worried about crashing it. However, I could see you hopping out of something like a Mk5 Supra or C6/C7 Corvette. I honestly don’t care what you get as long as 1) you enjoy driving and having it and not just for content, and 2) you mod the freak out of it!

If you are considering a s550, i would say also look into a c6 corvette for about the same price range. Got my 08 for $24k with 65k miles last year.

Before even seeing any of the cars I thought Subaru, it would be good to tick off that box. Maybe an older STI and the savings could go into building/modding it. The Mustang is cool but not that interesting. Then showing the GR Corolla and I thought YES, I think that would be really cool, fun and fresh.

Hi Luke! I like the previous gen WRX, not so much the Mustang (I watch Burlacher too), and the Corolla seems odd. In my humble opinion, you should pick up an F30 335/340i and build it, or maybe pick up a G30 M550i, all three go for 15-30k, and there's so much stuff you can do to them. Or buy a Silvia or something and go toe to toe with Stefan's RX-7.

Get a Lexus LC500 that you customize. Nobody is doing it (many do boring Mustangs) and it is an epic, reliable car that will hold its value for you. So great to drive (I have one) and very uncommon to see.

I think you should consider an F30 330i powered by the B48 turbo 4-cyl (the same engine as the four cylinder Supra!). Unlike the N20 that preceded it, the B48 can be turned up to 500+ horsepower on stock internals, just by going to a bigger turbo, doing downpipe, exhaust, and a tune. You can literally make your F30 330i as fast or faster than a G80 M3 for a whole lot less money. I know you are more of a Mercedes guy, but doing a build like this would keep you in the same Teutonic muscle realm, whereas going all in on American muscle seems more inconsistent with your brand and your prior content. And doing a build like this would be great for content because there are so many things to upgrade on that car, whereas if you got something like a G80 M3 or a Shelby GT350R, those cars already have big brakes and great tires and taut suspensions and whatnot, so there are less exciting or truly transformative upgrades out there for them. Doing an F30 gives you the tuning and upgrading possibilities of a WRX but with the luxury of your AMG C43.
