Hey! So here are some product recommendations and tips to help with controlling frizz! (I’m a licensed cosmetologist / working freelance hair and makeup artist, with 18 years experience). After applying a hair oil (I love Biosilk they have regular and lite) after your hair is dry, even if you already used some while hair was damp, (for people with thick &/ or course hair), then add Kenra Platinum Whipped Taffy 20. NOTE: This goes for all products, but apply in small amounts you can always add more, rub into your hands like it is lotion, tops, bottoms, in between fingers, and then starting at the bottom &/or midway run your fingers through your hair, working your way up to the hair closes to the scalp. ( awesome side note on the Kenra product is that it smalls like cotton candy in the best way possible, and it’s not too strong smelling because scents are one of the things that triggers my migraines.) By applying products to the hands this way, it insures an even distribution of the products to your hair. Another trick is to take a color brush that you can get at Sally’s or any beauty supply, and spray it with a product like Wella Eimi Mystify Me Fast Drying Hairspray, then take the color brush and smooth any areas that still have frizz (this is also great for sleek ponytails and that type looks). The Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray is also great one for frizz and flexible hold along with KMS Anti-Humidity Seal spray. I hope this helps! If you try any please let me know and if you have any questions I’m happy to answe!! ❤️❤️🌯🌯
@ZijnShayatanica5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for these tips!! I usually hate the feeling of products in my hair but I hope using that technique with the dye brush will help prevent over application. IDK if they sell any of these products at my beauty supplies in Puerto Rico, but I'll look for similar products! My hair is fine but there's just a lot of it, so... It doesn't get weighed down too quickly. 😊

@scottishlass46865 жыл бұрын
A tip for my fellow broke-ass baerritos: I almost always wear natural/neutral eye shadow shades. I just wanted to throw this out there for my sisters who love to use products in new ways. Every January/February, makeup goes on insane clearance at Wal-Mart and a lot of times there are foundations, concealers and powders in shades that are way too deep for me. I'm very, very fair...that's what brought me to Taylor's channel. Girls, when you see those rich tans and deep browns in the clearance bin, grab them. I use a warm beige face powder and/or concealer for my eye shadow transition shades. I use deep brown face powders for the outer corner of my lid and my lower lash line. It makes no sense to spend $4+ on a tiny pan of brown eye shadow when I can get Maybelline Fit Me powder on clearance for $2 and there's 10x as much product (and it doesn't crease!). I spend almost nothing on this stuff, and the pans are so big they last forever. This leaves me with more funds for other splurges (like Charlotte Tilbury lip colors!).

You are amazing Taylor! I found you 3 years ago on a 15DOF and have been hooked every since! I love what you do and what you stand for. ❤❤ I live on the Gulf Coast so I could write a book on the things I have tried for frizz. My routine consists of towel drying my hair and I add a couple of pumps of the Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum. Then, after drying my hair, I add a little more to smoothe my hair. Finally, if I have little fly aways, I use the Kenra Texturizing Taffy, the tiniest amount (I have had the same jar for 2 years) on the tips of my fingers and just tap it on the spots that won't lay down. It works amazing and that texturing taffy smells like candy! Good luck!

For frizz, I go in with a little bit of suavecita pomade and a smoothing brush (or a round brush) and just lightly run it through my hair at the root. It doesn't make my hair look greasy and it makes styling last longer, as well as tames the frizz

Hey Taylor 👋🏻 Licensed stylist here~ It's a little tricky to shoot out product recommendations without actually being your stylist and knowing your hair texture but here are a few that I've found to work wonders on many of my clients. My go-to's are Redken Satinwear 04, Heat Design 09, Moroccan Oil smoothing lotion, Paul Mitchell the Skinny (clear bottle), Sebastian Whipped Cream mousse and also Unite Blow & set. I tend to mix any 2 or 3 of these together but if I had to pick one, Satinwear 04. I always prep with a leave in conditioner, then I apply a nickle sized amount and smooth it over the fly aways before blowdrying it in with tension, either from a paddle brush or fine tooth comb, always pointing the nozzle downwards.

For frizz I am currently liking the Beauty protector protect & detangle and then Ouai leave in conditioner. If it’s really out of control a drop of body lotion spread really thin on the hands and then lightly swiped over the floaty frizzies does wonders. For wash out treatment I like the coconut cream that sits on top of the canned coconut milk left on for an hour or two then rinsed/washed out depending on your texture and oiliness. I also find lightly pre-treating with oil the night before lets the oil soak in and look normal by morning

Tips for the frizz: 1. Biosilk Silk therapy! A few drops in your hand, rub then together and apply over hair after shower when it is towel dry. It can work on styled hair too. Not only helpful for annoying little hairs, but it makes hair softer and shinier in general if you use it after showering. 2. Then there is the age old trick to use a brush with hairspray over it and then brush down the frizz (This also helps for static hair in winter).

The *INSTANT DE-FRIZZER* is an amazing spray that de-frizzes hair on contact and makes the hair super shiny, smooth, and soft. Their *HUMIDITY SHIELD* is also good stuff! I'm so happy you got the Faux Mink lashes off Shop Miss A! I just ordered 5 pairs of every style and have been obsessed. I hope you like them!! Some are a bit long lol, but so pretty!! They've been replacing my Miss3D Silk M358 lashes (also affordable $2.99)which is impressive because I've been wearing that style religiously for 2 years.

Outfit one is giving me serious Fran Drescher vibes, and I mean that as the highest compliment. Long Island glam for days ❤️❤️

1. I never wear lashes but maybe I need to try those, they were so beautiful 2. That lip color is amazing on you, I literally said wow out loud when you started to put it on

Hey Taylor! I'm wondering if you've ever used a beauty face oil mixed with some more mattifying foundations. It has made ALL the difference in my foundation game!! Now I am able to use the majority of my foundations in my collection. I've even used a small amount of the facial oil in my thicker concealers. So effin good!! Oh, also, I love your channel! Thank you for continuing to be yourself and someone to look up to ❤❤❤

I love the bright red lip on you. Always so beautiful & classy. Maybe I’ll shop my lip stash & pull out a red lip since I NEVER EVER wear red. Only have it because my 7 yr old likes to rock bold lip colors. And Thank You for using XO Beauty again! I love Shannon so much! Really wish more gurus would try her brand. Her brushes are so luxurious & her lashes too. Everything is handmade & cruelty free & vegan! Can’t beat that! Anyway you looked stunning as always Taylor. Hope you & the Boyritto had a fun Valentine’s Day ❤️

Whenever i look on threadup they only have complete trash. I feel like they only save decent stuff for influencers to promote the site

Brooke Lee Is that a thing? Because i NEVER find anything decent like she finds but it could be she’s a smaller size :/

It’s because she’s tiny. Most designers make prettier clothing in a smaller range. I started using ThreadUp a few years back (when I was around a M) and ALWAYS found cute clothes. Now that I’m around a L/XL, it’s REALLY hard to find anything I care for. And you really have to check and check often - the good stuff goes QUICK no matter what size you are.
