I really like this brand bought the 12v reciprocating saw and I have the drill and impact driver, I’m a tool nut so if I see something I my like I buy it, as a plumber my van well that’s stocked with 95 percent Milwaukee tool and 5 percent dewalt, but at home for fun I have dewalt, Milwaukee, flex, ryobi, skil, rigid well you get the idea lol

Awesome review! I’m glad to see Skil trying to mount a comeback. It’s true that the power tool market is really crowded and dominated by a few companies but I think Skil Is being really smart by offering features like the power jump charger, the built in USB port on the battery and really well designed and good performing brushless tools at a price below most other companies most basic brushed tools! Aside from the fact that most of their kits only include a 2AH battery, which I honestly think is bigger then 2AH, I can’t really find much in the way of cost or corner cutting. I think they’ve got a really good combination of features and performance that really differentiates them from companies such as Ryobi and the like. I do also find it interesting that their power jump charger really goes against conventional lithium battery charging methodology. I’m no engineer or chemist but just about every other manufacturer chargers their lithium batteries slowly from 0-20% then ramps the charging rate up significantly from 21-80% and then backs off again the final 20%. I’ll be really curious to see if this ages their batteries any faster then the competition. I do have one question though, I’ve watched a couple of your new Skil tool reviews and in every one of them you mention the “parent company” knows what their doing but never mention the company by name. Is there a reason for this omission? Other reviewers mention the name and if I were in Skil’s marketing department I’d want the world to know that the parent company is Chervon, the same company that owns Flex and Ego as well as many others.

About a month ago I got the ridgid set of drill you just reviewed yesterday and I was waiting for a video review on it

What do you think about the Ridgid combo? Thanks for watching.

I went for the big boy 20v brushless that comes with the 4ah battery. This one here butter's toast while the big boy spreads red iron like it's butter.

Pretty impressive, glad to see SKIL is trying to build a professional grade tool. It's gonna be a tough market to conquer with Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita and Ridgid established there and Kobalt,Craftsman and Ryobi trying to nudge themselves in there too.

Yes, this is true, many products already in the arena. It will be interesting how well they do. They really are great tools for the price. Thanks for watching.

Used the Skil 20v brushless 1H on jobs as a burner tech- I REALLY like it. No it won’t belt apart an oil tank easily (that’s where my Milwaukee usually steps in) but it will cut schedule 40, 2x4s, conduit, threaded rod, and just about any finer thing I could need. 2.5Ah battery will charge my neck lights, and the 4Ah battery gets me a few days of pretty consistent use. More power and leverage than the DeWalt and Milwaukee one-handers I’ve used. For the price, I could not be more impressed.

Can you do a head to head comparison of this brushless PWR-COR 20 reciprocating saw and the Milwaukee M18 brushless reciprocating saw? That would be super helpful.

The m18 is 100% winning.

Milwaukee’s hackzall was released in December 2017. It’s time for a new one probably in 2021.

That 2Ah battery is pretty chunky. I wonder what it looks like in the inside.

They do have some space for the USB output, so that may be the difference. Thanks for watching.

I don’t understand why use an underpowered saw? Unless you can’t get into small areas? That would be the only reason old use one.
