Hello everybody, as said in the video, incase there is a topic you would like a more in depth tutorial for, let me know :) Btw. I’m currently thinking of doing a Q&A sometime soon and other videos, in which I directly connect with all of you. Firstly, does that sound interesting? Secondly, I would ask you to follow me on Instagram (@teo_crawford), because I think that’s an adequate platform for me to easily connect with you. With that said, have a great week and see you next week! :)

The combo of the drones was so cool... Also very nice work with the masks. Kinda wish you could make a post-apocalyptic full length feature set in Taipei/some tier 1 Chinese city (I loved blade runner) :P

Im a design student and we just started making films in university. your video series really helped me out a lot in order to understand the process of making a short film. your series is perfect for a beginner filmmaker to understand everything involved in this pretty complicated process. thank you!

Im a professional compositor/VFX artist and SFX artist. So I’ll give you a sneaky tip. Flip your masked lays and change scales. Then you can get away with a lot more. And instead of after effects, you may want to use Fusion which is free (unless you’ll need 3D then you need a license). And Fusion is very close to Nuke which is the defacto standard - but pricey.

@chiragnere77644 жыл бұрын
First of all your content is amazing🔥 What laptop are you using for editing and is it enough for 4k edits?
@teocrawford4 жыл бұрын
Ayy thanks mate! :)) I edit on a ASUS Zenbook UX310UA (it's got an 7th gen i7 processor, 16gb of Ram and a 500GB SSD). The performance depends a lot on how far in you are in the edit. So the rough cut of the film, which was all in 4k, went smoothly, but I should mention, that I had the quality set to 1/2 for smooth performance. But as soon as you add colour grading it gets laggy and I have to set the quality down to 1/4. And when you add effects such as in the video it becomes quite a pain. As you saw I managed to do the whole film with the laptop, but it was certainly not smooth hahah :D And btw. when exporting the 4k film the laptop was overheating like crazy. I hope this was some good info for you :)

For someone who never tried Adobe Premiere - I am absolutely shocked how bad the implementation of color grading is in that software in comparison to Resolve. The UI is on top of all things the worst. But hey, if it works... :)
