"Short Order" [remastered audio] • A Very Different SUSPENSE Episode!

Can you refuse service to a guy just because of his FACE? In fact, his face is SO bad that he's driving your customers away! What could happen? Well, you'll find out in this ugly episode! There's a surprise involved towards the end, but I'm not giving any clues. Anyway, here's a different kind of SUSPENSE with excellent sound quality.

I think this episode is probably the one that disturbed me most. I'm going to try and listen again, but I had an unfortunate and unforgettable experience at about 3 yrs old which shocked and horrified me for life! This episode brings it back 😳

I think a lot of people had a traumatic experience as a kid. I had a couple. When I was three, I slammed a car door closed on my left thumb. My blessing (and sometimes curse) is my near photographic memory.

I find you can guess the basic twist, but the final resolution is so entreatingly gruesome that I did not see that coming at all.

I know of no story in this boring sequel/CGI world filled with know-nothing talentless story tellers that even comes close to this one tale, nor most of OTR either!

I never cease to be amazed at the high quality of Suspense, Escape, and as you say most all of the old radio dramas. Our brains and imagination are better than any CGI

Suspense & ESCAPE! I completely agree that our imaginations are supreme. That’s one main reason CGI will never measure up to OTR. There’s no room for imagination when everything is given to us.....in HD......

@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered Even sitting in the audience at a radio taping, watching the performers bring their scripts to life, your imagination kicks in. But you have the added experience of seeing how a show gets put together. I got to see that, many times in my formative years.
