My primary strength goal is to be strong enough to comfortably and SAFELY extricate my "heavier" patients out of their homes (or other scenes) using our extrication devices, e.g. manual stair chair, manual stretcher, manta tarp, various carries, et c. without necessarily having to call other units for a lift assist. Unless actually necessary. I just want to be capable of doing my job safely, and without injuring myself. And yeah hell I obviously want to LOOK like I can do all these things because one of my insecurities is being perceived as physically weak/incapable by my patients or their family members. All that being said, dude, lifting weights has made me SO MUCH MORE CAPABLE of achieving this goal. Working out has literally given me the ability to be a better medic. It's amazing.

I don’t think you would be able to carry Uber obese patients hence there’s a reason why when you deal with those patients it needs 2-3 person. Otherwise you will definitely hurt your back and snap city. I’ve seen those health professionals, they ain’t that strong strong. There’s also difference between moving weights vs moving Uber obese people which is basically 3x your size.

I've had 4 or 5 overarching goals for my lifting career, 3 of which I've hit. The 2 lifts I have unfinished business with are 185x1 OHP and 225x10 Close Grip bench. I've struggled with both of these lifts as I'm tall with a very large wingspan, so each 5lb gain or rep added is a fight. Should be able to hit these goals by this time next year.
I'd really like to hit a 3 plate bench someday but I think it's just not in the cards. I'd be happy with a 275 lb bench press and a 405 lb squat. Currently, my max bench is 250 lb, squat is 385 lb and deadlift is 505 lb.

10 rep maxes are much more impressive and challenging then a traditional one rep max.. overall your getting strong either way and it creates excitement in this lifting journey. Nothings more satisfying then making your 7th rep max your 10th rep. ✨ 😎

Short term goal: get over this stupid rotator cuff issue that's been going on for 9 months so I can bench over 100kg painlessly again. Mid term goal: get as strong as I used to be so I can compete again (675kg total @ 86.6kg). Long term goal: Same as my original goal years ago, 700kg total + continued progression.

I know you won't see this, but I ran your program for 5 cycles (8 or 9 months) my squat went from 140kg to 160kg, my bench 106kg to 115kg and my deadlift was weird af. It went from 172kg to 184kg ONLY after the first cycle..never progressed after that. Not sure why, maybe it wasn't enough volume. Your program obviously was designed to focus on the squat. Hence, it significantly jumped from 140kg to 160kg.

Short term: S/B/D of 405/275/500 by year's end. Off by 40/15/25 as of last attempts in Feb. The 500 pull is also a lifetime goal I've had since I was a kid and my old man took me to my first powerlifting meet. I've told myself if I can convincingly hit it in the garage I'll also sign up for my first meet just to say I've competed once.

My strength goal is to continue with my bench progressing nicely (2pl8 for 4 the other day), get back my squat strength and hit 3pl8 and 4pl8 on my DL, though these are gonna take some time since I just came back to them after months of chronic knee and back pain. Ohp wise, I can do 1pl for 4 so maybe something like 80kg x5, and be able to do +20kg weighted chinups again, now at 95kg bw
