my screw stripped when driving it in to the dif box. idk why the dif box is having these problems. I wasn’t even using an electric driver

I'm always getting screwed when I drive it into the diff box... if you know what I mean ;)
@kadenlanham63152 жыл бұрын
@@PerryCodes lol, i ended up drilling it out and then using a traxxas screw that was similar looking. i think the plastic on the dif box is just drilled to tight. or the screws are not the right size screws

Lol 5 years later and still no SCT 4.0 great video! Im keen on getting a short course truck. Looking at the SC6.2 and SCT 3.0 as the associated is a newer truck and better supported in South africa.. it looks like im leaning a lot towards the AE. But still love the TLR's

Great review. Agreed on allot of it. Personally I've been building all my kits lately by putting a little dab of black grease on the screws when I thread them in. It's saved me quite a bit of hassle.
@jyrkilehto85027 жыл бұрын
Hey Jason! You do sweet job with the reviews, thanks and keep going strong! Just built most of my 22 SCT 3.0 yesterday and I also noticed that the gearbox screws were WAY tighter to screw in compared to my approx 6 months old 22 3.0 buggy. I just did the conversion from 4-gear to 3 gear in my buggy about one week ago and in that one there was no issues. Maybe they have changed the mold. And also it would seem to be only one side of the gearbox, since screwing the rear bumper was easy to one side of the gearbox and tighter to the one which the motor plate screws in. Best to build them with black grease and hex drivers, no Makitas or Bosches...

good video and really like the running footage at the end . This shows how nice the truck handles. I imagine you were wishing for a wilder motor in there .The 17.5 stock is nice but maybe a wilder stock class like 13.5 or 10.5 would be nicer if Not modified would be nice to see with this truck. Overall I would recommend this truck to people that like 2wd SC and it's the most up to date.

Hey man I know this is an old video but I was wondering if I could get some insight. See the problem is, Is that I want a kit but i'm not a racer.... Don't want another slash .. Is this truck capable of bashing? Not skate park bashing, Just some jumps in the yard. Maybe in the dunes with paddles. Again not looking to bash it like my xmaxx or arrma kraton lol. I want a kit so bad!

whats the difference between this kit and the RTR kit? I'm new to RC so I don't really want to have to build my own but I want to get a truck for strictly racing. I have a Helion Avenge 10SC coming tomorrow I was thinking about trying to upgrade and race but in the end I don't know if it will ever be as good as a Losi or Team Associated as far as Ive been researching.

@gregberkhof29537 жыл бұрын
this is the 2wd sc based on the 22 platform, the scte is a 4wd sc drive based off the 1/8 e-buggy platform.

Hey Jason! Love the videos. Had a quick question but I’m not sure if there is a quick answer. Just bought the sct 3.0 and when I’m going over jumps the front end is flying very high compared to the rear end. Is there anything I can do to jump flatter? Thanks!

Jason, with video quality and content as good as this is worth the wait. Now, "Value" in my mind when it comes to this. I believe TLR really does give you the most in the box for 10th scale. Especially the 22 4.0 . You get essentially 2 cars for the price of 1. And nothing "needs" to be upgraded to go fast. I'm no fan boy but, it's my opinion that TLR 10th scale line up is a no brainer especially if you go from track to track. What say you?

Yeah bro I got the plastic shock towers and the bleed screw did that to me I think I over tightened it and it did that same thig

Would you be able to like back yard bash and trail bash this sc no crazy jumps just bash and race friends or is it strictly race?
@Strckt4 жыл бұрын
You can do whatever you want, but its race spec. Sure you could bash it, but there might be cheaper options out there. The car is expensive, and you need to get all the electronics. A Team Associated prosc10 rtr is good, and will handle around the backyard. As well putting some money back in your pocket.

Main competitor of this truck is ASSO SC5M, which cames with excelent Proline body, it's far better and more durable than weak TLR stock body, so the value of laser precutted body is not top at class. Jason, i've seen your SC5M review, some portion of fair comparison would be helpful for those, who choose between. Thank you for review, longer runnings are defenetly better.
