They act as if he can eliminate poverty himself. He doesn't even have close to enough money to even put a dent in the US's poverty levels. Nevermind the fact that it doesn't prevent people from making bad financial decisions that would make them poor again. If they knew anything about world history, they would know that social stratification has been a common trait in many advanced civilizations for centuries. Before we even had the word for capitalism, hierarchies have always existed because complex societies with specialized forms of labor will often result in stratification due to how important those roles are viewed, the wealth it generates, how much land they own, and how close they are to positions of leadership in the government or religion of the society. A socialist society would still need to have a government and leaders, and as long as there are leaders, corruption can always happen because bad people like to seek power wherever they can. 🤦🏽‍♀️ What did they think Napoleon getting the dogs to chase Snowball away in Animal Farm was symbolic of? Edit: Sorry for the rant under your comment. I get very annoyed when people don't understand how history works.

I remember In a high school government class Watching a documentary by an optical surgeon who did cataract removals. She wanted to get an understanding of life inside of North Korea and so convinced the government to fly her out so that she could perform cataract surgery on a bunch of folks who suffered from them. At the end of the documentary she put up a compilation of everybody who had been cured of the cataracts thanking the dear leader and not even acknowledging the woman who did any work for them. Except instead of views, they milk them for political leverage. They keep the poor, weak, and impoverished as they are, with their virtues serving as the carrot on the stick. When the groups they champion get actual, tangible help-- that's power taken away from the filth who're out to exploit them. We already know they will refuse help anyone save themselves, but when you see their jealousy-- over a man helping out his fellow man-- it only seems to prove the point.

The reason why "everything needs to be political" is because if you let the common man enjoy life, instead of sit at home and be reminded of the struggles in life, then the common man will be less likely to revolutionize. I believe this was from Antonio Gramsci. So literally, you aren't allowed to enjoy life, only hate it until the revolution kicks off. Then be constantly reminded of the revolution so there is no revolution to the revolution. These people are seriously morally corrupt. In addition, of course there will always be poor people, for there are people who don't know or even want to attempt to, properly handle resources. Whether that be material, human, monetary, or time. Even in their communist utopia, there will be someone who will find a way to make better use of their resources, and someone who will put such to waste. In return, even though "everyone is supposed to be equal", society will favor those who make better use of their resources, even up to removing those who are too consuming from society.

All the people angry at Mr Beast for improving the lives of a ton of people, aren't angry at him because he's rich, though it could be partly the reason. They hate him, because they know he's a better person then they ever could be.

Personal anecdote to your closing statement about people stocking up: I was working in a grocery store when Texas froze and had rolling black outs, well our check outs didn't work so the manager out of the kindness of his heart had a policy of lay out what cash you had ans grab some essentials, well he had to close down because suddenly people called up their relatives and they wanted to leave with whole carts of steaks, ribs, brisket, etc.

Nothing get me more irritated with Hasan than when one of the friends are hanging out with him and they have the opposite response to something and his immediate reaction is to emotionally bully them and gaslight them. This isn't some 10 minute surgery that can be performed easily, ignoring consultations prior the surgery itself is closer to 30 minutes. Every single person needs to have a custom artifical lens made. Then that's on top of all the other inherent costs associated with open surgery. Whole sale, even getting lasik is gonna run you almost 2k an eye here in jacksonville. Often the same places equipped to peform cataract surgery are the same clincs and it's already substantially cheaper and lower demand, so it's an actual opportunity cost for them to perform cataract surgery when they have a near infinite supply of lasik patients waiting.

Honestly my only complaint with Mr beast is his attitude with what he does It feels like I'm watching a prank video but the prank is giving some random person a house it feels fake and lacks weight behind it feels hollow and meaningless like he just gave someone pocket change and not 40 thousand dollars

I don’t think any video has made me so angry. Seeing these wealthy breadtubers tear down MrBeast for helping out is simply infuriating. Hasan is one of the biggest streamers out there, and seeing charity makes him angry? Where are his charitable efforts? Man it boils my blood

Breadtubes response is almost as insane and delusional as that person I saw calling it Ableist to assume blind people need to be fixed. That they can whine and complain that someone is out there doing good deeds and improving peoples lives, while they do nothing but sit on their ass and rake in profits while pretending to care.

What I see with Mr. Beast is that he (sometimes) uses money to help people in need in order to create a video that generates more money. Rinse and repeat. BECAUSE this is done as a business and as a revenue machine, it can keep going. Next time he can get cancer surgery for someone. Then he can get super advanced prosthetics for some kids, and still be in the green. It’s fucking genius. You get to pay for people’s healthcare with Google and Advertiser money. What’s the alternative? Spend the money on philanthropy, not make a video about it, run out of money. That’s it. Doing it for clout allows him to keep going.

This drives me nuts. What mr beast does is more like some sort of private taxation to pay for social services, including entertainment, than any normal for profit business. People pool their money under him, with trust that he will do something entertaining, engaging, and sometimes helpful with it. They keep calling him rich, but the money comes in and goes out at an extraordinary rate, and like he said his videos lose money on average.

the issue is simple. they don't care about actual poor people, they care about feeling good about themselves as being a "champion of the poor" on a purely conceptual basis. I could swear i read this in something G.K. Chesterton wrote, but i recall a story where a man was walking with his friend and happened to pass a beggar. the man gave the beggar a few coins and continued on his way. his friend chided him for that, saying that no matter how sorry you feel for a beggar, you can't give him money, because then he won't feel the pain of his situation and/or people wouldn't be able to see how bad his situation really was, and so it would delay the sort of socialist changes the friend was a fan of.

This really goes to show the power of brand imaging. The thumbnail is the worst part of the whole thing. I also was never big on Mr. Beast (although I must admit that I didn't know that he often doesn't profit from his charity videos). With a different thumbnail, this 'controversy' might have never happened.

I was irked at first by Mr Beast because making a career of being charitable and filming it seems disingenuous like all those other clickbait youtubers but I can't deny he's doing good and the fault really only applies if it turns out Mr Beast doesn't care about the doing good part of the philanthropy and only the profiting from it, which you can't actually determine unless there's some serious BTS leaks or if you know Jimmy personally. He also just makes general spectacles that aren't centred around the philanthropy but the event itself. The other part of the irk is that it exposed how I myself am not being charitable enough.
