Thank you so much for this video! I just purchased one for my just purchased Honda Rebel 1100 DCT with 1002 miles on it! I haven’t installed the “Shorty” yet, but it’s great to see a review on it because there’s not too many with someone actually riding with it installed. I’m sure it will make my 1100 sound awesome and noticeable! 🏍️💨 👍

Thank you sir!! For sure, I think for the cost it’s totally worth it. If you want something else down the road, you are only out $60 which isn’t too bad. But honestly, I might end up just sticking with the shorty, it’s been growing on me over the last few months.

I love the brake free tech. I ride a 2020 Rebel 500 and also ride a Onewheel Gt. I love that I can swap it out with multiple helmets. I get comments all the time about it. It's a great product.

COFFMAN’S Exhaust makes a black slip on clamp for their version of the “Shorty” that I purchased because the silver clamp that came with the Shorty GP wasn’t too appealing to me. $30 for the clamp, $65 for the Shorty GP isn’t too bad of a deal!! 🏍️💨👍

Yeah, it for sure sounds better than stock. I am probably going to try it without the baffle just to see, but I’m pretty happy with the baffle in.

I bought mine and it didn’t come with a baffle I think it sounds good

Justin, do you get the pop, pop, pop sound when you let of the gas? it has something to do with compression, baffles sound good slowing down, with out sounding like backfire.

Yeah, I might end up taking the baffle out of mine just to see what it sounds like and do a comparison. For now, I’m happy with how it is on my bike. Ride safe ✌️

YUP! that sounds just like my Rebel. i like that it's not super loud, i have had cars and pick up trucks go by me that are so loud it hurts my ears. when i had my exhaust without the baffle, when you let off the gas you get this pop, pop sound. the baffle stopped that, now it just sounds really good. i would say keep the baffle in, but to each their own. bike sounds really good. And for 60 bucks, it does sound just as good if not better than those expensive(got to look cool)exhausts.

That’s awesome!! Yeah, it would be interesting to do a comparison and see what the backfiring is like, but I like it with the baffle in so I’m inclined to keep it that way for now. For sure, that’s why I’m thinking it might be one of the most bang for your buck valuable parts for the Rebel. Ride safe brotha ✌️

That shorty sounds great and it got a rumble to it. My last Harley had screaming eagle II and was super loud to the point I had my helmet Bluetooth all the way up just to hear it. So the Honda is staying stock 👍

Yeah! The low rumble sounds so great in person, the video doesn’t do it justice. Haha fair! Yeah, I’m sure that was incredibly loud.

hey man great video and i have a few questions does the new exhaust have a good filter? does it drain fuel? does it need tuning in anyway? or its a simple plug and use

Thank you! Great questions. It comes with a baffle, not sure if I would say it’s “good”, but it seems pretty decent. I am going to do a future video where I compare it with/without the baffle to see how the sound changes. I know it helps a little bit backfiring. It shouldn’t really ever have fuel coming out of it to my knowledge, but it does pop as you let off the throttle. I think it sounds good. Nope! No tuning needed. The exhaust is a slip on, so you just install it and you are good to go. Check out my install video!

is the shorty gp pretty universal?, got mine thru Amz but what i didn't notice is that its for caption says 17-20 year for the bike an my rebel is a 22 will it not fit?

I’m pretty sure they just haven’t updated the amazon listing. I don’t think there are really any big differences between the 20 and the 22 when it comes to the exhaust. Same with things like crash guards or windscreens. Honda changed a few small things with 2021 I think, and so maybe the new bikes haven’t been tested yet, but nothing really changed. My 2021 had no issues with the Shorty GP as you can see. Ride safe! ✌️

I’m trying to get into bikes, i been looking at the rebel 1100 dct do you know if the exhaust would fit?

I have heard it does fit, but I haven’t tried it myself. I think Life Of Burch has tried it before though.
