A Bretta 1301 tactical shotgun with light, upgraded sites, and laser is just as good as any ar15 with same upgrades. A 1301 is around 37” your average ar15 Is 33” 9 rounds vs 30 rounds. A 12Ga 3” 00 round has a lot more energy transfer than a 556 round on soft targets. A pistol is a lot easier to move but is a lot less accurate due to points of contact. I think a shotgun has a place in the home defense just like a ar or pistol. I have all 3 by my bed side and If im waking up from a deep sleep a Bretta 1301 tactical is the correct answer because I’m not gonna be very accurate with a pistol from a dead sleep. However if I’m awake at night and it happens maybe a pistol is the correct answer expically if I think my 556 is gonna over penetrate. However if I think more than one person is gonna be in my home a 556 may not be bad especially if they’re in a hallway and lined up or if they are wearing armor. I Say all of that to say your shot gun isn’t the best choice from home defense but mine is and definitely has a place in home defense. Great intro btw it definitely hooked me in.

One of your best videos yet! Here is what I do, why I do it, and my addition to the conversation: I use a Mossburg 590A1 20" 8+1 with a 5 round stock shell card and a 7 round receiver shell card. 1. I have more practice on a shotgun than a rifle or Pistol, therefore I am more comfortable. 2. If I have to use it in that situation to protect my family, I want it to get the job done. 1 round of 00 is going to stop anybody. 3. This is how I see the ammo issue: an AR with a 30 round capacity and a shotgun with a 9 round capacity are similar. The AR can put 3 .223 caliber holes in 10 targets with 30 trigger pulls, and the Shotgun can put 9 .33 Caliber holes in 9 targets with 9 trigger pulls. There are downsides to a shotgun for sure, and it certainly isn't for everyone. The AR is more maneuverable and is easier to reload, while the shotgun hits harder and is more natural to aim (if you have a gold bead sight). AR is more intuitive to operate, shotgun has a higher skill cap... and so on.

No. I have not, thank the Lord. However, I believe you're trying to prove that I don't know anything, simply because I haven't taken someone's life. If you are inferring that....That's like saying someone cannot attain the knowledge to be a mechanic if they've never manufactured a car.
