Just my opinion Guy, you are a great KZbin creator. You set yourself apart from a lot of the watch KZbinrs. Personally I loved you longer off the script videos but shorter ones probably push the algorithm, so that’s good too. While you have a passion for this, I will enjoy your banter. I got retinopathy hemorrhage in my left eye and got floaters that blocked 90% of my vision. After a 2 months struggle, it improved by about 50%. I changed my lifestyle and took better care of my diabetes. Don’t want to lose what’s left of my eyesight!

The lack of views could be due to more watch review channels as well as changes to the algorithmn. Most of the watch channels are not pulling in the views for their recent videos relative to their subscriber count (watchfinder talks about it). Now that you mentioned it, i rewatched some of TGV older video and he does consistently mention it. In the earlier periods, it was Holbens.

Oh, that’s for sure true. There are a ton more channels in the last two or three years compared to when I started six years ago. The competition is probably certainly a factor. Viewer is only have so much attention and we all can’t get that attention that’s a pretty good observation.

In the last few years I've had totally unexpected needs for urgent surgery along with more expected surgeries after that. The important thing is that we carry on but it can be difficult at times. Yeah that's a good point, usually if a person is doing a sponsor deal it's with a brand they want to work with/brand they like. And you can usually tell if they don't just by how they speak on the subject.

Seek to borrow or display watches that not everyone else is. The last thing we need to see is all Rolex videos. Find a niche, add some humor. Giving away a high value watch will create a spike, but long term will have no effect imho. TGV will shill for most and is forced style over content... He tries way too hard to be an English gentleman. He's a common everyday man with delusions of grandeur that he hasn't earned or been born to. A giveaway is always a good way to get subs. The best for both party’s is a sponsored giveaway. Maybe a tiered list. 100k gets a Seiko or Hamilton. 150k gets a Monta or equivalent. And 200k gets a Rolex. (Dang that would be epic for you!)

What a lot of viewers don't understand is that when a person does a review about something they've purchased (personally own) there's a bias built in because they have to justify their purchase. When you have a "paid promotion" you don't have anything to justify. You are free to state your opinions, especially if you tell the company up front that that will be your approach. Hang in there with the frozen shoulder! I had it a few years ago in my left shoulder and now it's impacting my right shoulder. It's going away faster this time as I'm using a jacquzzi with arm raises while submerged. I've determined that excercises are mostly useless without heat and you should give it a try. Overall, I think that your channel is quite good as it focuses less on production quality and photography and more on opinion from an everyday Joe. Keep it up!

Kudos for being clear and upfront. Allegedly, one KZbinr's narrative was (wor for word) exactly like another's ( vastly lesser known but good quality)...After research, I just can't look at their output anymore. Another watch KZbinr has also mentioned another one of not disclosing paid ads...Does it matter if the producer is not a US citizen - or does it still matter as KZbin is US registered? I was a whole bunch of verbs and eye-rolling when I googled that a KZbinr ( one of the unnamed above) had named his watch brand after a watch that already existed - I don't know if that's laziness, coincidence, or lack of diligence?

Don't give away your Rolex, don't overthink the sponsorship thing, everyone does it to some extent (and while no viewer likes to see sponsored content, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you are perceived as honest) but, if you want to try out something new, here's an idea for you: how about coming to Switzerland and do some watch touring? While not your usual setting, it sure could provide you with some interesting content. In full disclosure, I am going to start a company that kind of does just that and I could use the exposure... So at the risk of my previous advice being disregarded as biased I will say that, if you are interested, I'd be honoured to sponsor you! I don’t think it’s necessary for you to give away the Sub and in fact I really don’t think you should. Best way to increase subscribers is making compelling content, a giveaway is a short term sugar high. I’ve been subscribed to your channel for years am glad to see you back. A key strength is your authenticity. You do seem to have more energy in recent videos which is a good thing, more engaging.

Guy, I hope you can get help with your health issues, I have my own and know how frustrating it is to find good doctors. I think it would not be easy to have a watch KZbin channel unless you have access to watches. Or having to buy a lot and then sell them. I don't buy many watches anymore. I tend to look at value-for-money watches but I do appreciate the workmanship of nice watches. I think Grand Seiko is one of the best I have seen when it comes to craftmanship. I love the technology of the spring drive movement. Good luck getting 100K subscribers and I hope you get better with your health, I am almost 60 and have had plenty of scares myself.

Will not please to anyone but what's the point to have a channel that says the same as any other watch channel. Having regular content doesn't mean posting too often too. In my opinion it's sometimes better to post less often, but still regularly, and when you have something interesting to talk about.
