During salah in congregation, should one recite Surah Fatiha? Are there specific prayers where we need to recite?
There is a difference in opinion. One opinion is that you do not have to recite Surah Fatiha when praying behind an Imam in the prayers that are recited out loud. The second opinion that Shaykh Waleed recommends is to recite Surah Fatiha with the Imam, or if the Imam gives time to recite before starting the next surah, then recite it then.

When making intention before you began praying, are you suppose to say that you’re going to follow the imam as you pray?

Intention for prayer is not said verbally. It is implied that you have intention to pray with the imam

I have a few questions- 1) When we miss the ruku we miss that Rakah.If one finds the ruku,he finds the rakah.Does that not indicate,the Fatiha recitation of the Imam is sufficient? 2)If one recites Fatiha during Dhur and asr,but the Imam goes to ruku before the person finishes,what should he do?

1) This is a difference of opinion. But it only sounds logical to recite the fatihah behind the imam especially in silent rakahs. 2) If you joined said the first takbir of the prayer late, then many scholars say that the rakah is valid by going into the ruku. But not if you were with the imam from the start and he was too fast or you were too slow.

2:45.................'in this case.....' Are you for real ?? How are we going to know in advanced what the Imam is going to do after reading the Fatihah ??? Is he going to pause for a few second for us to read the Fatihah or is he going to read another super short surah straight away ? A CLEAR and STRONG HADITH already said that there is NO PRAYER without the FATIHAH...................so make this COMPULSORY for IMAM to pause for a few second so that MAMUM can read FATIHAH too after that ! Only ALLAH truly knows everything.......BUT if powerful Muslim leaders cannot even agree to STANDARDIZE important things such as this together, then no wonder Palestine is being horribly attack even until today !

Salamun aleikum, Do you Sunni Muslims recite al- faatihah without al- basmalah ? ! I mean, when you perform salaat / prayer you have to recite surat_il-fatehah, right ! ! Many or all of the " Sunni " Muslims do recite surat_il-fatehah without or leaving out the first part which is ; بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ، bismi Allah Arrahman Arraheem. Or ; Bism_Illah_Er-Rahman_Er-Raheem. It's true. Isn't it ! ? Well, Allah Almighty says in the holy Qur'an ; * ،،، و اذا قرات القرآن فاستعذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم *. " ،،، And if you read the Qur'an seek refuge in Allah from ( against ) satan the cursed [ the cursed devil ] ". Do you see what I mean ? ! Almighty Allah recommends saying " أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم " before starting to recite / read the Qur'an. If you don't do that then something is wrong ,,, How about leaving out / skipping a part of the Quranic text ; بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. Almighty Allah says in the holy Qur'an ; * ،،، السبع المثاني و القرآن الكريم ،،، *. " ,,, the seven repetitions [ or repetitives ] and the holy Qur'an ,,, ". Surat_il-fatehah is seven verses NOT six verses. Why do you " Sunni " Muslims chop it off ? ! ! The Prophet Mohammed Peace and Blessings be upon him and his Ahlilbait said ; the example of my Ahlilbait is like Noah's Arch ; whoever boards it will be saved and whoever misses it will perish ". Sign; ex- Sunni- Maliki Muslim from Tunisia in the West. Salaam.

ASSALAMU alaikum. Who said that sunni muslim didn't read Bismillah? Bismillah is the first verse of sura fatiha. The Quran is one for all mankind. So live the name sunni and Shia attacking each other. Follow the Quran and prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
