I compare the situation to what Alice In Chains had done with Duvall, except I believe they don't necessarily need a lead vocalist, Mike Shinoda has sung the same way Jerry Cantrell, unless Shinoda doesn't want to take the spotlight as the singer of Linkin Park. In my opinion, Linkin Park is still Linkin Park, even without Chester, the same way Alice In Chains is Alice In Chains even without Layne. Still, it feels like the "fans" won't appreciate any outcome the same way they didn't even appreciate One More Light and it was one that meant a lot to Chester. I liked One More Light, I like the stuff they made as Xero, so if people really love Linkin Park, they'll appreciate anything they make, regardless if it even is material from the past or not, the same way I still appreciate Alice In Chains' music even after Layne's passing. Whatever they have in mind, I'll appreciate any attempts they make to let the show go on, even more so if they're honoring Chester's legacy in the process

Also, I would have rather had LP bring in someone who sounds similar to Chester. At least AIC still kinda sounds like old AIC. Bringing in a female vocalist is not the move they should have made. Danny from the band From Ashes to New, has hints of sounding like Chester but is still different enough to make it work.

N O. Linkin Park died with Chester, the reason why is quite obvious. They should change their name if they wanna continue.

Linkin Park was almost like a suicide cult. With their front-man now gone, it would be far more poignant for the band to simply perform instrumental sets -- he spoke his feelings and he acted on them. Let their music be a lament, with lyrical silence as a reminder.

Replacing a lead singer is not the same as replacing other band members who just play instruments. The vocals are what makes it. I have seen new AIC and I don’t like it. I refuse to claim this current version of AIC. AIC was one of my favorite bands of all time.
