Thomas Tuchel, from Krumbach in Germany, has been named as the new England boss, and is expected to appear at a press conference this afternoon.
It follows months of speculation about who would replace Gareth Southgate, after Lee Carsley stepped in as interim manager.
But not everyone is pleased with the former Chelsea manager's appointment.

I had to look up the answer to the caller's question; who was the last English manager to win a trophy in England? The answer is Harry Redknapp with Portsmouth when he won the 2008 FA Cup. Madness.

What an absolute bonkers season that one was in the FA Cup. Barnsley knocked out both Liverpool and Chelsea. Havant and Waterlooville got as far as Manchester City (then in their last season prior to the gulf state takeover) and 3/4 semi finalists came from outside the EPL. I doubt we will ever again see a season like it.

I have no issue with it, and am glad the FA ignored the 'advice' from the Daily Mail'! On a side note, it is a damning indictment that the FA have failed to produce a bunch of English managers that are on a par with Germany, Spain, Italy. No English manager has ever one the FA Premier League since it's inception in 1992 - that is appalling!
