Given the size of the layoffs, there are bound to be people losing their work visa along with the job. It should be recognized as an opportunity to develop a product that you can sell. Many businesses have their founding rooted in the founder becoming unemployed.

no one can predict for such far in future. As of now expectations are that things will get normal at end of 2023. Although Russia - Ukraine war, and another pandemic wave might be troublesome.
