This is a review of my Bashan Powersport 150cc Chinese scooter. In this review I give a overview of the scooter, my thoughts after almost 2 month ownership, and was it worth the $900 I spent on it.

By Chinese scooter, you mean mainland Chinese scooters. The majority of Japanese scooters are made in Taiwan with excellent quality controls. A good rule of thumb; if you recognize the names, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, then go for it. If you can’t afford those, buy them used. They’ll still be a good quality product, even with quite a few miles.

That's a nice lookin' bike. I have had had my first Chinese bike for 3 years, no real issues, so, you will be sure to still have this one long after you get your vespa. I like the Chinese bikes because the parts are cheap and easy to get, so, it's well worth keeping regardless.

Yeah, Chinese bikes are good starter bikes, so you know what you're getting into without spend too much money.

I have a kymco like 150i with abs brakes. I got it fir 3k out the door with tax and license in ca and it was worth every penny. Higher quality than my other chinese scooter. My like bike is fuel injected which is way better than carbureted.

That's a nice looking scooter! I touched my tailpipe to see how it was too, but I did it with my leather gloves on and it burned the leather a bit. Was very glad it wasn't my finger!

Thinking about getting this bike. 50cc is not powerful enough for me.

I've taken my Korean scooter on the motorway 3 times I did 100kmph one time but I'm never doing it again it is hard to control in the wind it must be because they are so light. I'm just sticking to back streets and around town now it felt dangerous on the motorway

Thinking of purchasing 1 from them but trying to see if its worth paying the extra $125 for them to deliver it fully assemble or is it cheaper and easy to assemble it myself or a local scooter shop ??

Most likely, even if you chose fully assembled option, with the way they ship it to you, you will still find yourself putting something together. For instance, mounting the mirror. In the end, its up to you and whether or not you would find more comfort & convenience in them doing it for you. Also keeping in mind, do you have all the tool you would need to put it together yourself? For me, assembling my scooter was a fun experience.

Depends on how much you want to spend. On the cheapest side around $950. For better quality close to $3000.

Yes, for this one a M License is needed because it can hit speed of up to 55+ miles per hour. However, there is also a version with a max speed of 35 miles per hour, so you would not need a M license for that one.
