I have a 2023 midsize sedan. It gets well over 40mpg on the freeway at 70mph. It looks very sporty and handles great. No SUV can beat that.

Wanted to buy a SUV or a SEDAN, tried both. Both confortable and everything you said is right. I Chose the sedan because the confort was very good and it's way faster and agile than a SUV ( yep i like to drive fast). Being High in a SUV can be a good feeling but when you take those turns it feels like you're in a boat and become really unpleasant if you drive for a long time.

I will always go for a sedan. In fact, if they made cheap 2-seater sedans (coupes), I'd get that one. I just prefer cars that are agile, have good handling, and are lower to the ground.

I feel like a great compromise in picking a sedan or SUV is a hatchback. If you get a big enough hatchback you can fit a decent amount of people in it and have more then enough cargo space, if you need more just fold the seats down. The way gas prices have risen I feel like its a necessity to have something fuel efficient. If you like going camping a hatchback can still make it down trails to a campground just don't do any crazy 4x4 off roading and you will be fine.

Sedans are people haulers and hatchbacks are cargo haulers. With how high gas prices are, I need to use my hatchback as a pickup. My Honda FIT gets 36 mpg and I can haul car engines in it.

I think it comes down to preference. As others have mentioned, most technology and safety features are available on either an Suv or Sedan. For myself, I simply find the ride quality, concept of luxury personal transportation and maneuverability to be superior in a sedan. I'll take a quiet smooth ride over utility features any day.

Honestly i prefer a sedan because they're easier to maneuver in very narrow parking spaces. They're also the king of fuel economy. Aside from that, the smaller capacity is a nod towards privacy. It's a subtle way of telling people that "i'll be able to accomodate a few people but not a crowd." If you're a family guy, buy an SUV. If you wanna save up but still want a ride, get a sedan.

Sedans are better and almost every single way. Don’t believe me? watch not just bikes. I don’t get why SUVs are so popular. SUVs are way more dangerous. My mom had a small hatchback that got hit from the side, and she was able to regain control. We were in a similar accident in an SUV a few years ago, and the car flipped over.

I think it also depends on road quality. As an SUV owner in a country with awful made roads (batches the sizes of a kids pool, light poles blocking the road, constructions blocking the pathway, etc.), having an SUV is a game changer, I saw sedans stuck on batches and how many accidents can happen because of them. Also, if you're not skilled enough, you may have troubles if road speed reducers are too high. IN RESUME: If your country doesn't provide good roads, be CAREFUL in which car do you choose.

Im 20, been borrowing my moms x3 while I save for my first car. I do like the ride height, and space in case I need to take anyone around. But after some thinking I decided on getting a car since its just me, and been looking at a 2017-2018 model year c class... been my childhood dream car and would make me 100x more happy then buying a 2023 honda Hrv for example

I prefer SUVs. My wife and I have a Highlander and a Crosstrek. The Highlander seats 7 and hauls their luggage. It tows up to 3500lb, has a roof-rack, and can get almost 30MPG. The Crosstrek seats 5ppl, tows 1500lb, has a roof-rack, and can top 35MPG. BOTH have AWD. Both have HUGE hatchbacks for hauling cargo.

The 1st-yr or so Crosstrek here was actually called the Impreza XV. Even then, it sat higher than the typical sedan. It's always been a "CUV" here.
