Should You Buy A "We The People" Holster? || Review

i ordered one for my Glock 21 and it may help you to watch their install video on the claw. It doesn't effect retention at all. The screw on the opposite side of the holster is responsible for adjusting tension. That is why the barrel nut they give you is longer on on side. The longer side acts like a shoulder bolt preventing it from effecting the holsters retention ability, whereas the shorter side sits slightly below the grommet thus allowing it to compress providing increased tension. I have found this to be very comfortable especially for a full size. Im 5"10" 168lbs and it conceals surprisingly well. We will see how it holds up to long-term wear

Did you install the claw yourself? It shouldn't affect the retention to tighten the claw all the way down. ONly the screw opposite the claw handles retention.

Mine came yesterday. #1. It was 100% used. There was dirt and grime down the entire length of the space for the sights to slide down into it. #2. The color was super faded compared to the picture. Most likely because they sent me a returned one. #3. The holster itself was not quality. It seemed thicker than what I’m used to but somehow more flimbsy on how it was put together. I spent a total of 1.5 minutes with it before it got repacked and returned. I’ll never buy another one. Buy a VEDDER LIGHT TUCK if you want a quality holster

Got one for my kimber micro 9 and it's trash the issue with the claw made it so I couldn't use it. Small pstol hard to feel the change, so I was constantly looking down to see if I was printing

Bro so glad I found your video on this holster, first off how did you get yours in about a week, I'm into my third week and I've found customer service sucks and rude, I tried canceling the order and was told it couldn't be once it went to their warehouse in Vegas so I emailed and asked about when will it ship, just crickets so far, no reply. I totally regret buying this especially when I've seen much better for around the same price or a little more and outrageous shipping times. Just purchased this IWB with the claw for my G26. Overall I like it. I do have some small issues with fit and finish and I agree that the price point is a bit high for a kydex holster. My question is about the claw and its movement. You mentioned that if you tighten it down it gave you too much retention. I'm confused about that because the hardware for installing the claw makes retention adjustment completely separate from the claw adjustment. Front screw for claw, rear screw for retention. Is this an issue that developed over time ?

WTP isn't even close to being at the expensive end for kydex. JM Custom, PHLster, Tulster, Vedder, HHH, etc... All 20 to 60 bucks more. You definitely get more with those, but wtp is nowhere near being too expensive for kydex as long as the quality is there.

The holster by itself is great. Doesn’t fall out when upside down but the wing is WAY to fragile. I broke 3 of them & just started rocking it without the wing but for my new piece I went with “The Armzmen” with a THICK amazing wing.

Thank you for your video. Purchased their OWB holster for my VP40. Arrived missing one screw and t-nut. My VP40 never fit well. Call/Emailer customer service, didn't get a response. Last month the plastic belt clip on the IWB holster for my G3C broke. Called, on hold every time, twice for 30 min with the call dropping. Email'd a few times, finally got a generic "sorry" for your problem response. The Lifetime Warranty, if you read the last line it says "at our discretion". In my opinion that's a loophole for them not to honor their advertised warranty, which has been my experience. Read the independent reviews, shop around, pay a little extra.

Anyone coming here want an honest review of this holster? The final assessment sums it up. You can read reviews all day long saying “customer service terrible” or “took too long to ship” yada yada yada. Are there better holsters than this? Yes. Is it worth $50? Yes. Got mine in two weeks. Not my preferred IWB holster but for the price, it’s a solid purchase. Prefer my vedder, but this is a decent holster at a good price. Yes it takes a couple weeks to get it, whether it’s made in America or in China, not sure but it’s a solid product that functions exactly as advertised. Don’t have a claw on mine. Feels comfortable, sturdy, and I’d say a solid 7/10. If your budget allows it I’d say there are better options, but if $50 is your limit, it’s a solid choice.

bought one for my M&P 2.0. it is absolutely horrible. even when i loosen the retention screw almost all the way out, it still is quite the chore to draw from the holster. i wouldn't even be able to attach the claw because of that issue.

I will never support this company. I pointed out a spelling / grammar error on their website and they sent me back a general form letter “I'll go ahead and pass that idea over to our development team.” That was almost a year ago and even though I followed up with them they didn’t fix it. It’s all about attention to detail and having something on your web sight that is incorrect and just being too lazy to fix it tells me a lot about their work ethic. “These two parts are fixated together to make a paddle holster. “. Customer service is poor. They could not issue me a partial refund of $7 dollars. I called w/in an hour of placing my order. I was told that I needed to cancel my whole order and place a new one. I was told that they would 'Cancel' my order and issue a refund. Never happened. I received an email that my order was 'Canceled' and that a refund would be issued. Then my order arrived. I now have to decide whether to be 'Hostage' or return their 'Shipping Mistake' for a refund.

I bought two of these holsters. The same result both times. The belt clip is huge and allowed a lot of play, and the retention sucks. Tightened the screws to the max, but didn't pass the shake test. Don't waste your money

I bought one for my Sig P365X. I’m a slender guy with zero belly fat but, the bottom of the holster where the claw attaches, digs into my leg/groin. I have to say that I would not buy one again. As others have mentioned, the retention is rather weak - even when fully tightened. The claw design is not well thought out and is possibly the reason for the discomfort I am experiencing. I have a truckload full of holsters for my various handguns. This one will most likely end up in the pile. For the price, it is not good. The price of the claw is robbery. So 3 month review. I have a 1911 no rail, and used as my EDC. Solid holster, little bulky. The misses has one in pink. Also solid. I ordered holster claws for both, they help sometimes but mostly useless. Also with one of my holster claws, it came packaged incorrectly. Customer service is ass. My only complaint with mine was the clip broke after a 6 or so months. Once replaced 2 yrs later nothing. My advice is buy an extra belt clip for 5 bones when ordering. I haven't heard anything good about the claw

I do like the holster very much - but you are 100% correct the “claw” is USELESS” a complete waste of $18!!! In fact when it’s out of position it makes the weapon MORE visible!! I could not figure out what or why or how they designed it like that - it’s horrible - and no (you are correct) you cannot adjust it. The holster is well worth the $55….if you want colors - sure up to you but it gets expensive.

Agree 100%. The one I have for my P365 is an okay holster...but not in the same league with similarly priced holsters from Vedder or JM Custom Kydex. And I gotta tell you...their customer service SUCKS! lol They advertise a holster for a 4" "Commander" 1911. There is no such thing. Standard Commander length is 4.25. So I called them. And they insisted it is for a 4" gun. I tried to explain that it is probably for a 4.25" and could they confirm such. The woman was rude as hell and told me, "Look... you can get a 5" 1911 holster that will be a little longer than your gun, or a 4" and have your gun protrude a little at the bottom." I knew she had to be wrong - but she wasn't willing to verify or transfer me to someone who might know. I got so frustrated, I hung up and ordered the supposed 4" holster. When it came, of course, it was for a 4.25" gun. Just for spite, I sent it back because "it was not the 4" advertised." I got a Vedder for my Commander length Ed Brown and will not buy from WTP holsters again. Weird company.

Wish I had found You earlier. I’m waiting on my holster now. I did get the Texas flag print on it and got the claw. This is my first kydex holster, so You will hear from me on my take on it. I’m not real enthusiastic about the claw movement but We’ll see. I was trying to use up a gift card that had been a pain in the butt so I tried to get it to the “magic” area of the card. They won’t let You go over and use another debit card to pay overage or You have to pay at least $82? That’s the card. Not the holster manufacturer! I also went back and ordered some mag carriers. They were a one size fits all, being either single stack or double. I’ll let You know about that too. Since You’re a good ol’ boy from Texas also, We’ll see about summer wear. I’m big around the middle but smaller where my belt is. We’ll see how that works out. Also, You got another sub, so maybe that will help get You moving along. Thanks for the honest review!

I got the IWB in Thin Blue Line pattern with the MOS cutout for my Glock 43X MOS. I've had it for about 3 months and I like it just fine, it's pretty comfortable. I can't comment on the claw because I didn't buy one because I'm highly anti-claw.

By the time you buy the holster, by the claw, pay for the shipping and handling, you might as well just spend the extra money and get a way better holster for your buck. I bought this holster about 2-3 months ago for the Glock 19/23 model. It will also fit the 17/22, the gun just hangs out about 3/8”. But overall I’m disappointed with it. The retention is horrible, no matter how much you tighten it it’s still pretty loose and the gun will slip out if you give it a good shake while holding it upside down. The claw is horrible, cheap plastic garbage. I was expecting the belt clip to be steel, but that’s also cheap plastic. The holster is fine for wearing around the house but other than that it’s not worth a dirty sock.

The claw helps to conceal the gun. There are four different modes, you have to test what works best for you. It depends on your body type, what gun you carry, where you carry. It's not an exact science. You have to try what works best for you. As to price, it seems reasonable to me.

Got one for my P80. Kydex is way too thin and flexible. With a proper belt tight enough to stay in place, you CANNOT re-holster your firearm with one hand due to the flex/collapse of the holster. If you plan to do something crazy like train with the gear you carry, don't buy!

I’m very disappointing in your product it came highly recommended from Dan Bongino. The holster is very flimsy I screw the adjustment all the way in and it still will not hold the XDS Mag. It was made for a double stack 9 mm 45 etc. even though they fit they are still flimsy cheaply made. And your lifetime warranty is disappointing when it doesn’t work or fit and then I have to pay to ship it back when I have to pay for shipping that’s not much of a warrantee on your workmanship. I have purchased things that Dan BonGongino recommended and they were great and he recommends your product with a full lifetime warranty or your money back nothing said about as long as you pay for the shipping on your return I was hoping this was going to be one of those things that worked out great and looking forward to a long relationship.

Please heed all the negative reviews about this company! It took almost a month to get my holster and mag pouch. The single stack universal mag pouch was way too big for my magazine. I had a few questions and they never answered my 2 emails. I then left a message to return my call. No reply! I then waited on hold for 45 minutes until I got a rep. After a long discussion and him having to check with his supervisor they agreed to issue me a refund. So nice of them (lol). After a few days my refund showed up in my account. But get this, it was only for the holster!!! Ugh!!! So after 2 more emails I am trying to get the rest of my money back. This company isn’t worth my aggravation over $26. But for me it’s the principle of the whole thing. In my last email I told them that I would tell the truth and give them negative feedback when ever I can. Please trust all the negative reviews and don’t waste your money on the company. They are horrible! They have the worst customer service and I’m surprised how they stay in business.

It took over 2 weeks to get my holster, the design wasn't done correctly, part of it was missing, very disappointed, not buying the cheap made claw

Just received a holster allegedly for a Springfield XD 40. Doesn't even come close to fitting. Very poor quality construction. They are charging me a fee to return their unadulterated junk. Look elsewhere for a quality holster, and reputable seller!

I hate this company. Mine came without the tension screws. I called asked them to send me one, they never did. The holster itself, the corners are sharp.

I like the company. I hate their products. I tried the same set up before a different model gun. It was a terrible fit and the retention was horrible. I would’ve need to spend an hour with my heat gun reshaping it to make it fit properly. They were nice and took it back. The claw was trash. I bought a used Vetter light tuck on eBay and it was perfect. We the people has great marketing, but they need to work on their product quality. The same goes for their belts. I tried out both models and the Meg carrier. The belt was obnoxiously, stiff and awkward and bulky. I have other very stiff belts and they are way better. Again, I sent them back and they gave me a refund. I commend them on their return process And customer service.
