What I need is good noise cancelling and auto limiting to avoid peaking. I don’t believe Rode are there yet. Any good quality suggestions?

I’d love to upgrade but as a solo content creator who isn’t making money on my content I’m still using my original Rode Wireless Go. It’s working fine and the batteries seem to be holding up. I even have a Rode dongle that allows me to use it with my Rodecaster Duo. When it finally quits that new guarantee from Rode will come in handy.

I feel like a huge flaw the Wireless Go 2 is as follows: To hook up the receiver to your phone on a gimble and film in portrait or landscape, the wire tends to prevent my gimble from rotating freely leading to my gimble giving error messages and overheating. The model with the receiver that plugs directly into the phone is a better option for most people.

Great review but I would like to see them add bluetooth like DJI has they can connect to many external devices with out a wire or special adaptor.

Thank you for presenting the latest Røde Wireless Go gen3. Over here in Germany, they are priced the same as the new kid on the block - the Sennheiser Profile Wireless. For me personally, it's an easy choice, I go for the Sennheisers (I already did, to be honest). I like their versatility and this multi-purpose enclosure. 32-bit float is nice to have for sure. I personally don't really need it.

Yeah there are some really compelling options out there!!

Definite difference between the two and the three, the three sounding much better, no discernible difference between the three and the Pro.

Yeah...pretty sure the Gen 3 is just the Pro without the timecode. Makes me think another Pro may be on the way...

Great video. New content creator here. Looking to upgrade. Most of my videos are made in coffee shops with background noise. (2-4 guest) in your opinion how well would these work? Or any recommendations on upgraded equipment ? Thanks

@@brandonjohnson3361 these will work just fine May want to get them a touch closer to your mouths for a touch more clarity Funny when I had it on my hat you could hear it was super clear This is why a lot of people hold them Just set your gain properly and it will sound just fine

I love my Pro as well as I did love my Go2 that I sold to be able to afford the upgrade. And it was a major upgrade. Now that the Go3 is so close to the Pro I would probably just go for the Go3. But....timecode is becoming the key word of the industry now. Rode Wireless Pro, Deity PR2, Tascam FR-AV2 suggest to me that timecode will now be differentiator for consumer vs prosumer. I have the gut feeling that Rode will improve on TC in the next iteration of the Wireless Pro. It will for sure have linear timecode in and out and the possibility to wirelessly timecode sync multiple Wireless Pro devices as well as allow the units to be used as timecode devices for cameras. Besides timecode I can imagine stuff like removable SD card, replaceable battery. But lets see what they actually come up with. I am excited.

@DarkCornerStudios I'm leaning towards upgrading. 32-bit float is clutch on my coffee videos when I increase my voice to speak over a grinder or espresso. Makes me lean towards the interview Pro when I film sometimes.

Honestly unless you need everything with the Pro...the Go3 is amazing!

I Can't hear a lot of difference between the pro and the Go 3, it's subtle to my ear, but compared go 2 wow what a difference, I definitely prefer the 3. I will add when I started watching your channel 18 months ago I couldn't tell the difference between the sound of a carrot and an sm58.... I guess my ears are waking up 😆

Thats awesome to hear!! It comes slow...but eventually you will be able to differentiate flea farts from mosquito farts

Get the Pro, it's only $30 more. If you get the extras that the Pro has, the Go 3 is almost double the price.

Seems to me that Rode is in danger of becoming like Microsoft in its naming and variations: too many versions resulting in utter confusion which results in no sales.
@DarkCornerStudios23 күн бұрын
Nah I dont think the sales will suffer...but that is funny. I thought of the same thing as I was trying to choke the name out throughout this video. I wonder if the whole lineup is going to follow this model. Kind of a MK3

Yeah I’m good with the Go2 since it was updated to export a 32 bit float file. 👍🏾
@DarkCornerStudios23 күн бұрын
Just an FYI...it doesnt actually export ACTUAL 32bit float. It just transcodes it so it can play nice with other 32bit float files. The actual files themselves do not have any of the benefits otherwise of 32bit float.
