Another consideration : don't deny towers if you know your enemy will go out of its best way to destroy it. Deny it when they do. That way you force them to commit to an area of the map, which opens farming space for your tem. That's a sup move

the only answer is not to deny. always keep it to use with glyph as long as glyph is up or almost up, nevertheless, never deny tier 3 tower. if ur team has terrible wave clearer, or heroes that do not clear catapults, glyph is the best answer. this goes for tier 2 tower since glyph allows multishot to clear the wave. this was best utilised before the glyph refresh nerf, but it is still applicable. as for tier 1, arguably, never deny as well if u have the ability to defend it whenever enemy forces a fight to push the tower unless enemy is really good at pushing towers that your team cannot even afford to defend, denying is the best solution.

My go to intuitive thought would be how long the glyph has before it's up, if theyre aggressively pushing and it's moments away from dropping. If we have a strong uphill defense, probably not and it drops when it drops. If we have a shit team clash. Gotta drop it. Don't think I've ever denied melee barracks but their could be a super dooper specific circumstance where glyph has been spent, it's a 50 minute + game and it's to get another glyph for another t3 to benefit another clash.

When I first started a guy said you don't deny towers on high ground because if the enemy is willing to charge up a cliff, then they are strong enough that you need the bonus armor.

there is another reason to deny the mellee rax: if your team fights in toplane under t3 tower, and enemy goes aggressive into towerdive t3/t4, you can deny the rax on mid f.e. to get the glyph back and pressure more with 5 hit attacks from tower. maybe you can turn the fight with this and push mid to win condition. but thats high level pro thinking i guess... but this was on my mind right at the moment.

That 124 gold change (adding a double negative & a positive) I think is too worth it... unless of course you have even a few instances of Nature's Prophet AoE Heal, Treant Protectour, Lich Heal at 25. It alone could be the difference between a buyback for your team or a lack of one for the enemy. If your team doesn't have any sentries left, then of course a few situations are fine to keep it around. Also for denying tier 2s and such... Treants alongside some quick kill heroes that could snipe it & be elusive - I think make you have to decide whether to wait & do a gank on someone who might be trying this (less of a chance with mid tier 2 as opposed to the off-lane ones), but that requires co-ordination & a fair bit of standing around time/waiting to gank for a hypothetical situation. Just denying the tower would be the better option in 3/4-4/5s of those cases from my experience.

Actual important note: Never deny ANY tier 1/tier 2 tower if all 3 of tier 1/ tier 2 are still up. You lose one of the glyph refresh by doing it and it has a great chance of losing you the game. Even if you have no glyph you effectively wasted the cooldown of the glyph.

Nature propthet now can heal the tower with sprout faceit , which in my thought better than 1 big treant, u get more treants to send scouting\pushing\pulling lanes plus the sprout heal and ofc lich lvl 25 talent

the main reason towers are denied at any tier is boredom. people cant take the loneliness of standing next to a tower. there desperate to get a attack off to see there attack animation. "look team i'm being useful" as you send pixel after pixel towards your tower then the ca ching as you get the same gold you can get from killing enemies. "the enemy wouldve killed it anyways" you say to yourself or team to gaslight them. when deep down everyone knows you just saved the enemy from having to kill it. which is precious time in a competitive game

Usually my rule of thumb for denying a t3 tower is to estimate if next glyph will be up by the time enemy team will come hg again

I deny towers no matter the tier, I usually have some conditions before I decide to deny it: -IF glyph is on cooldown -Are your enemies forming around the lane that said tower is? -If your team actually is around to defend said tower, or if they're far away, do they have their TPs on cooldown?

The way i see it, it's only worth denying when you can deny it at a safe distance and the enemy is about to destroy it anyways while theres no glyph but for most times it's never that good of an idea, if the enemy team is pushing your tower, they're usually backed by their team, approaching your tower to attempt denying it it's stupid risky and not that worth it... and in the case where you're backed by your team too, then why waste time attempting to deny it when you can teamfight? denying tier1 and 2 towers before the enemy is even pushing is bad, not only you run again into the risk factor, but also leaving it up it's much more useful, it's a big ward/sentry and you can tp to it Dota is a fast paced game, i think that players shouldn't even think about if they should or shouldn't deny a tower in a certain situation, they'll be wasting time at the thought process.. it's better to just assume it's not a good idea, because it almost always never is!

it's simple don't deny tier 3's if you want the gold go pick up a bounty rune or clear a wave the tower does everything it does at 5% health as it does at 100% health: vision tp spot gives a armr aura and regen aura that is worth more then its bounty even if hero's arent there it can defend your wave of creeps agaisnt a double wave in teamfights having the enemy have to position and then dedicate attacks to the tower gives you a big advantage think the cost to attack the supernova ward type thing the only situation in which to deny a tier three is you cant fight maybe 4 teammates are dead the enemy is a few seconds from killing it and you can safely deny it but you still give the enemy more time to kill further structures by killing it for them and all for a wave worth of gold..

Don't deny T3/T4 in pubs, ever. Simply because you don't know what kind of people your allies are. 10% of the times, it might be worth the risk gameplay-wise, but the reward is just too low for it to ever be worth the risk of tilting your allies.
