Good video and analysis. To further add to more depth with the topic, almost everything in dota2 revolves around timing if not everything. Timing like item timing from simple TP cooldown to BKB timing, Abilities timing like Black Hole, Objective timing like Roshan or even towers, Semi objective like ganking and even map movement in general, smaller timing like runespawn timing, night and day timing , and so on. All these timings are then factored into decision making, often times the team with better read of timing will have better decision making and wins the game eventually. Taking example from your video, SF was able to TP back because like you said his teammates has TP available but one crucial information was that radiant were already using substantial resources to kill him during night time and that his teammates has all their spell cooldown ready i.e Spell and item timing were more favorable for dire. Another good example is the ogre "baby sitting" SF farming, while its obvious that he was safeguarding SF one could ask why was he not doing something else like ganking or farming a few creeps here and there. The reason is again timing, because his other two cores were farming their first real core items and there was nothing else to do on the map, he could farm like most people would but that would show his position which would enable radiant to make a more informed and decisive decision to gank on the map. By not showing the radiant has to take a gamble with their ganks, so while he was technically not doing any active actions, his inactive action was contributing more than if he were randomly showing on the map or farming. The ability to correctly read timing and then utilize it into decision making that yields favorable result is the hardest aspect of dota2 where you have to adpath to changes in almost every match because of different drafts, matchups in lanes and team fights, positioning and so many variables that you need to process, you could play the exact draft and matchup but odds are every game will be different, different in networth, first gank and gank position, teamfight and teamfight position, itemization, etc. It's the long road. And also dota2 in professional match are way different than even your typical top high mmr games, its also important to understand what works in your respective skill bracket and to understand what type of skills, knowledge, etc that are transferable to yield maximum yields. Like for example in low or mid tier skill level you might be better off pushing out waves or even farming a bit rather than guarding SF because enemies might not have the awareness to gank SF. The ability to understand the "WHY" and the adaptability and skill required to implement those knowledge will elevate anyone to higher skill brackets, given enough determination and correct implementation. While mechanical skills like CS, farming pattern, spell casting, hero mastery, itemization, positioning, drafting etc are crucial in their own way they are not as critical as the mastery of timing and the subsequent decision making at the high level of dota2 games i.e professional. There are a number of great and unique individual players with incredible individual skills that fails to achieve success or win major trophy. While some like the old OG where 3 were players were average in terms of professional skill level manage to dominate and win international because of their pure teamwork which is the result of their superior understanding of timing in the form of pacing and decision making around map movement, they completely manage to overwhelm enemies often times run over them as 5 man and quickly maneuver all over the map. Most of them were not even the best players individually in their respective role in that tournament. Dota2 is much more than just spell casting or farming or even teamfight, at its core its decision making and to make a correct decision, and one of the best tool if not the best is understanding timing and its a knowledge/skill that is further applicable across different aspect of dota2 like drafting, spell casting, positioning, farming patterns, and so on. A bit long but given how much people still have the passion to not just play this game but to improve and reach higher level, I think I should write something that is fundamental but incredibly crucial to achieving that goal and that is nigh impossible to master. Of course if you can't properly last hit all the knowledge in the world won't let you reach immortal ranks but one I always belief in is that the right way and right knowledge will always outpace anything else in the long run.

Off comment, have you done an video about how status resistance works on decreasing debuff duration? It should differ for some debuff applications, like debuffs that are applied once or multiple times then run through their duration, such as Hex, Malefice, Pit of Malice, or Ice Path; as opposed to bigger ability-based event type spells that continuously apply & impose their debuff on the target(s) like Chronosphere or Black Hole.

One of these Summit tournaments had my favorite All-star game of all time, an All Random Deathmatch game that lasted over 1 hour and nobody wanted to die. FYI: This gamemade gives you random heroes, if you die your hero changes to another random one and that hero is removed from the pool, the win condition also changes apart from destroying the ancient, both teams has 40 hero rerrolls meaning if you die and you have no more rerolls you can't respawn anymore and if noone in the team can respawn anymore you lose immediately. This gamemode is included as a Dota vanilla gamemode.

I spamed a lot of bounty recently and found out some of the things he mentioned. Like going greenboots, drums, vlads etc. Im not sure the other facet is as bad as the pickrate suggests. The psychological effect of the gold steal sound during lane for every shuriken can be funny and later on you actually steal more gold with the bouncing shurikens.

Great video. A small eq on your mic taking down the mids by a few dB and boosting the bass would help it sound a lot better.

Agh's shard also reduces shadow walk cooldown by 5 seconds, or 33% at max level, which is pretty huge, but the devs forgot to mention it in the text in typical dota2 fashion

the aghs shard isnt trash it also applies the 30% less damage taken and has a decent range. so you could use it to give a ally shadow walk to intiate or use it on a stunned ally to give them invis and reduced the damage they take significantly. it can even be used on a leshrac with damage reduction pulse nova so the leshrac can soak over double the amount of damage. why dont players buy it if its good.. simple the alternatives are just better bh doesnt get alot of farm so he buys high value small items like drum urn forcestaff ghost scepter medallion euls which are just really good if these items get nerfed bh players will buy shard the easiest way to see its value is to compare it to a glimmer cape ie enemies throw a stun at your core would you rather; 1 spend 90 mana to put a 300magic shield with 40 movespeed and .5second fade invis for 5 seconds at 600range 2 spend 50 mana to apply 30% damage resist .25 second fade invis for 35seconds at 650 range while the mana shield movespeed and ability to cast spells then return to invis are all quite good especially early game mid game and end game the shadowalk is alot better alternative

I've been spamming BH to low Divine. I'm gonna say this is the most fun pos 4 i've had. First and foremost 1. BH support is the ultimate +1 hero. You don't really do anything big on your own (aside from hunting couriers). You can have a noticeable impact early, but your best play will always be +1 for your cores. It can be ganks, scouting supps, or even providing the correct support items. 2. Your primary strength you are annoying af to deal with early, and source of extra gold for your team (track bonus for cores or earlier/better support items). 3. The fact you don't have big spells, your entire gameplay relies on how good your macro game sense is. Scouting, dodging sentries, proper items, positioning. It really sharpens game sense, which is why i really like BH supp. some personal tips: 1. pregame scouting and courier sniping is the best thing you can do early game 2. pregame scout > keep in mind your team's overall fb power. Don't bait your team for unwinnable fb encounters 3. Personally, i always leave lane at minute 5 (moreso if it's a losing lane). Abuse the night time and go for ganks at mid or safelane. Every minute from 5 to 10 there's objectives to contest for (bounties, runes, wisdoms, or even kills) 4. start with a stick if you expect heavy trading, or wind lace for extra ms. I only start with venom if i know my partner could abuse the extra slow, otherwise your enemy will just dodge you and you don't get to benefit fully from venom. 5. Recognize the state of every lane. Maybe your mid needs a little help to start snowballing. Maybe you offlane is just losing and need to recover from solo xp/stack. Maybe you need to relieve early pressure at safelane. 6. Using track is counterintuitive. If you are actually ganking, you want to hold Track until the last second. If you know you won't engage further, just spam it. 7. NEVER SHOW UP IN LANE. Stay hidden from vision and you will always appear at your opponents head. The only acceptable time to show up in lane is either post ganking, resetting lane / wave clearing, or actually baiting the enemy. 8. Always get the Through and Through facet, and always mind where you throw shuriken to bounce. It has the potential to turnaround early fights. For item builds, i pretty much agree with adrian. Aside from boots, there are no fixed builds. A. tranquil into bearing boots (most common cases) B. arcane into greaves (i rarely buy these bcs they falloff hard) C. brown boots into orchid/nulli (extra aggresive against certain heroes) - Vessel is always a nice item and bh has great synergy with it. Personally, it's either a "vessel 1st item" game or no vessel at all. - Aghanim is bait. The only time i get it is when its already a total stomp or just meme build. Your enemy will dodge you if you are ahead and if they're ahead, you need more support items anyway. -consider getting BKB or become aura carrier. Sometimes you have to be in the center of fights instead of sidelines. Lastly, your goal is to end the game early while your team is ahead of gold. In a super late game, your track bonus won't be pronounced as much and supports/cores with better skills with out scale you.

To me its tranquil, bracers, then bearing or lotus depending on the enemy, after that its bkb. To me this hero is about setting up your cores for success, so use bkb/bracers to tank/scout for your team, and lotus is important in a lot of games, because bounty has no save spell for an ally. Boots of bearing is also insane when they dont have earthshaker/clock, its like a free force staff for everyone because of the unphased movement

Khanda is a meme item but it can be good on BH. Jinada increased the damage so enemy takes like 400 magic damage when you track them now

I'm a Master Tier Bounty Hunter and he is my most played hero so things I like to do with him are: 1. If your team needs help staying alive - specifically your carry - the level 15 talent works with the shard shadow walk, so you can make them more tanky. 2. Building small items first to consistently gain tiny power spikes that will help harass heroes going for bigger items - Orb of Corrosion, Tranquil Boots, Falcon Blade, Magic Wand, Urn of Shadows. 3. If you are trying to be annoying but find that the enemy team has loaded on dusts and sentries and are sticking together to pick you off, don't try to force anything because your presence is already doing enough. If they need to invest that much and have to sacrifice space to feel safe against you, don't give them a kill on you because then it'll be justified. If your teammates are pinging and flaming you to go scout when you know you'll get caught, mute and ignore. 4. If you had a great laning stage - offlaner is ahead and can pressure - then it's time for the "piss the enemy off" build. After small items like Orb of Corrosion and Falcon Blade so you can still do your job, it's time to rush Aghanim's Scepter with Track Kills being your main source for gold. Then move on to Aether Lens, and finally Octarine Core. You will never have to be in danger during team fights, you can track and steal gold further away from enemies, and the level 10 talent of +30 Jinada Damage is now applied to Shuriken Toss. If you have more time and gold you can build Khanda and have the most fun you've ever had in Dota 2. Spamming Shuriken Tosses and constantly hearing *ching* *ching* *ching* while the enemy team can do nothing about it because you're so far away is hilarious. If you can get a neutral item like Eye of the Vizier, Psychic Headband, or Telescope it's just got even more fun. That's when you start spamming voice lines as well: "They'll tell tales of this!" "Stings, don't it?" This build literally transforms you from a pos 4 support to a hard carry with highest damage in the game and the enemy team will be so tilted they will invest into literally dispelling Track or breaking Shuriken Toss. 5. For standard games that don't involve snowballing, targetable support items is the way to go. Lotus Orb, Linkens Sphere, Force Staff, Glimmer Cape, Heaven's Halberd, Eul's Scepter - these items allow to hover around the fight and stay alive so you can apply Track to any and all targets - you are not a damage dealer on your own like Witch Doctor or Snapfire, your contribution is mainly from Track, so you need to make sure that you apply it as much as possible and ensure your teammates can capitalize on it using your SUPPORT items. 6. I find a lot of people forget that Lotus Orb is a Basic Dispel and thus can get rid of Dust of Appearance. It's a great item to not only have for your team but to allow you to scout, be annoying, and stay alive if/when you get caught. 7. Always pick the Through and Through facet - Cutpurse if for noobs. 8. Bounty Hunter excels at harassing melee carries in lane once you hit Level 6. Track the carry when they are trying to get lane creeps, Shuriken Toss a creep near them so they get hit twice, and watch as their health melts away and suddenly they don't feel safe anymore. Bounty Hunter can be a brutal pos 4 to deal with when the opposing hard carry just wants to farm alone.

no jinada cd is great if your a match where you shift from a support to a semi core with a bkb where bkb and whatever else you've bought is enough for you to survive in melee if the enemy can blow you up in close range shuriken damage is good when you need to stay on the outer radius of fights
