If you love football. Youll love every moment with it. I hate seeing “should you enjoy” training or practice. As a kid i wasnt blessed with the opportunitys to play football for club teams and advance. i enjoy every moment with the game, because with the game, it gives you life. One day we will be old and we wont be able to play the beautiful game anymore, but only admire what we used to be.

Q&A: Matt, I’m not trying to say you should or shouldn’t do mental training, but I am just wondering why you don’t really do it (at least that is the way it comes off in your videos)? Things like affirmations, breathing exercises, actively working on your attitude, being in the now or even using a mental training program or app. There are so many possibilities of people offering mental training and I just don’t see why you wouldn’t be doing this. You absolutely CAN improve your game from doing mental exercises. I agree that you can’t really prepare for injuries, living alone, surgeries, developing discipline etc. You just have to DO those things. BUT you can use affirmations, breathing exercises, and follow these great programs out there to improve your game massively. Almost all the teams in the big leagues around the world have mental trainers because they know how much they help. Having that mental edge could just be the decider between a good player and a fantastic player. Now, this is only MY opinion but, I honestly think that lack mental training is what’s holding you back from MLS. Just my thoughts.
@jackjamison23424 жыл бұрын
Peter Kjeldsen Matt's strong mentality is one of his bigggest strengths, so I think it would take away from his time to work even more on that. He should continue to work on his technical ability and creativity with the ball, areas that he needs to improve to have a standout season in the USL. I personally think that Matt's mentality is what will get him to the MLS, not hold him back.
@ShortsCreatorGuy4 жыл бұрын
I think it’s too late. I’ve been watching Matt for a while, and he’s made great strides of improvement, BUT he’s 28. There are people just as good as him who are 6-8 years younger, and those younger guys have more time to improve. Consistent starter on a good USL team is definitely something to be proud of.
@peterkjeldsen19444 жыл бұрын

Hey man, Big fan here Just an advice, Whenever you do a video saying " should you enjoy deliberate training" or any other QnA, just do the taking. I sometimes feel bored skipping 10-13 minutes on every video just to get to the part where you're gonna start talking. I feel you should segregate your training sessions and QnA s. So that the people who just want the talking part get what they want and people who want to see your training session see what they want to see.
