Thank you guys! Your knowledge and insight is invaluable. I’m on a budget so I typically buy used and I only buy new after lots and lots of research. It’s always great to have info like this to help make a decision. The 55L seems ideal to wing on most days and prone most days. It looks especially awesome to travel with. If it’s pumping waves, I’d probably wanna be on my small prone board. If it’s nuking wind I’d probably wanna be on a wing board. And if it’s super light wind, a DW sup makes sense. But for a mix of conditions, this seems to do it all.

Only downside is the narrow width that makes it harder to get up in heavy chop

Once you master stinkbug start, it’s way easier to get up on ML than wing FG

Well, it depends. At an average weight of 75-85kg (for a guy) there's a point where too wide actually make it much harder to get going in chop. Yes, it may feel more stable on your knees, but once you are actually try to pump, the width makes it so the shop jolts the board around making it harder to get speed. So, I would say that in chop, the sweet spot is really between 20-23 inches. Anything wider is much harder. I would much prefer to get a 19" board in chop than a 24" inch board.

ML is really good in strong wind too. Unless you into jumps and rotation, the ML is superior in every aspect
