Not over doing protein intake. I've always been a bigger dude (220lbs+ 20% ish Body fat) so when i first got into the gym i would eat as much protein as i could (200g +). I relized that that is rather unessasary and cut it back to 170 ish and replaced those extra cals with carbs. Workouts feel much more energetic now.

4:17 squats are absolutely the best leg builder by far at lest in my case. I went a year with no squats cause I was just afraid to learn the movement. Just leg press, leg ext, leg curls, etc. And my legs never grew. Started squatting and they blew up

I'd never squatted in my life....think I should start now lol

Most people do horrible form on leg press, don’t ever try to progress, or ego lift. Leg press and hack squat machines are probably the best compound exercises for your quads

@@lucasjay1000 for sure, they don’t fatigue nearly as much. His foot placement must’ve been off

Being more aware/meditating I would say optimized my workouts/life and my "entrepreneurship" more than anything else, and being able to know how to research and find truths in things. Tbh being less stressed and getting more quality sleep alone as a result from that probably optimizes whatever you're doing more than anything except Test E and shit like that but we're talking natural balanced long term "optimization" here. Cutting out as many stimulants as you can probably optimizes you in the long run, cant tell how many times caffeine/preWO was the driver or failure for me working out, just fuck that shit. ^^ and that stuff above again requires you to be able to look at yourself and understand your energy from time to time, optimizing how you feel and shooting THAT to perfection I would say makes total sense. You played 4 hours of games night before doubt you'll have a great workout the next morning, Watched porn or fapped 3 nights ago ? You're gonna feel that depletion and energy loss soon, be healthy in the mind and body and know yourself to the real best of your ability, then you can beast it out with authenticity and dominate humbly haha

The problem with 'optimal' in the context of hypertrophy is that most perceive the term with an absolutist mindset (and the more black/white you are, the more it shows that you haven't understood the topic below surface level) when it actually points to relativity. 'Optimal' should also consider the context. An incline bench supported single-arm cable pulldown to target the iliac lat fibers is NOT optimal if you have 30 minutes to train and have to spend 10 minutes just to set that shit up. Grab the pull-up bar and get to work. It's still lats. And c'mon - do people really think that there's going to be a significant difference in development after 10 years of hard training? But obviously people did simply not grow lats 40 years ago. No one were training optimally. 🤡
