Yeah honestly everyday smoking is terrible for my sleep. TERRIBLE. I’ll stay up way too late, get up way too late, and remain practically addicted to the cycle. It’s especially harmful this time of year when most of my waking hours happen when it’s dark outside

Same here! I smocked all thru my 20s and now I’m 30 and I’m not feeling this no more! I use to smoke almost all day but now I only smoke at night to sleep but lately I’m not feeling it anymore! I feel like I took some shrooms or something and I feel like I’m kinda wanting to trip but not really it’s like just in the middle of tripping and not tripping and it just doesn’t feel enjoyable anymore! It’s crazy cause I been able to give up alcohol but weed it’s hard!

@@tswaggcodes5You can sleep or “pass out” without actually entering rem stage which is what helps the body “recover” wether that be the rewiring of neurons for better and more efficient pathways or building muscle. Weed affects your ability to enter the rem stage, just like stress and other forms of detrimental causes, so while you might be “sleeping” your body isn’t necessarily getting the benefits you should be getting from sleeping.

I use it every night. And i sleep better with it than without it. I've tried going without but PTSD is just won't let me. Especially this time of year.

I’m almost 20 tryna to quit now been smoking pretty consistently for like 6 or 7 years. I started as a way to self-medicate and deal with my anxiety and depression. I’ve quit for a couple months before but I’m only on day 3 and it’s mostly just cold sweats that bother me and the insomnia. I been up for like 55 hours and I feel alright besides the cold sweats. wonder if I’ll get some rest this morning lol. I found that it started to become the source of anxiety now. Never going back, read somewhere that “Smoking weed makes watching paint dry fun and that’s what’s so dangerous about it.” You become content with a lifestyle that the sober you probably wouldn’t be comfortable in or happy about. I wasted so much time when I was a teenager getting fucked up and now reflecting I regret all of it. The wasted potential I left behind in the past and the things I could’ve done and person I could’ve been I’ll never know. So kids think about it before you hit that blunt or j or bowl whatever, think about your life. is that reality really so bad. I know when we’re young we think we know everything or we don’t care but one day you’ll realize that you do and by then it’ll probably be to late so do it if your thinking of quitting. Not saying don’t never smoke again but don’t let it be a weekend thing or a nightly thing you’re still dependent on it. Like she said moderation is key you just have to find your balance. Ain’t nothing wrong with smoking one on a special occassion but don’t let it be you’re personally. Think that’s where a lot of people fuck up especially kids. And y’all really should wait til you’re out of high school. Nobody reallly does lol I paid my price for smoking when I was a kid it’ll make you lazy depressed anxious paranoid of your friends. It can even bring out mental illnesses you didn’t have before if that’s in your blood. But like anything else it varies from person to person just have to find what works out for you. Some adults function just fine high all the time some people it just fucks up for a while.

Hi, i have the same problem. I tried not to smoke for 1 week, but i fail on day 3 bassicly bcs i cant get any sleep, do you have any advice?

You should have used a 1 hitter. It helped me. 1 hit an hour before bed. To much causes anxiety. Remember it’s much more potent now and people smoke it like it’s going out of fashion hence the anxiety. Many years ago it was a mellow smoke. I think with the strength of weed today just one hit is enough. 1 hit and that’s it 😊

I recommended going to the gym and getting in the sauna for 10 minutes daily . Of course have rest days but this will tremendously help in sleeping and feeling tired. I also recommend not doing the one hit method because you will become stuck in that loop that will break eventually. The best way is to get rid of all things you have that being any flower or oil cartridges , bongs bubblers pipes even lighters , 510 thread pens just get rid of all of it. Don’t even make it a weekly thing because your mind will be so focused on only that one day it’s not worth it. There’s o much more you can do on your days off and free time. There’s no need to have anything to make a fun time more fun. You do not need to get ssri’s you are totally fine and okay man. Withdrawals from weed are normal and it does take a while but it’s a process through steps that many of us are here for you for . You go this man, even if you are doing it now just know it’s never too late and today or tomorrow can be the day that you change for good. I hope you are doing good man.

I just quit cold turkey .... and please believe me ppl I had no idea the lack of rem sleep was severely damaging my body. Just one day of quitting and my sleep was amazing that night.. it's just not worth bring high everyday.

Same here, smoked for 16 years and currently 3 weeks off of it. My sleep has been choppy lately but man I can really tell the difference, the dreams are so vivid and real. That rem sleep hits. My days are more surreal, I'm more "alive"

It may help you fall asleep quicker but you aren’t going to get as great of a quality sleep.

Guys it varies, sure this doesn't apply for everyone. My boyfriend smokes ital weed here in Jamaica daily when he's home and he has an amazing sleep schedule that I wish I had. I can't smoke as much as he does though because I have insomnia and weed makes me more energetic than tired. I like to smoke a puff or 2 before cleaning and showering 😊

as a youngin who’s smoked everyday for the last 5 years or so i can confirm you absolutely don’t get as high as you once did (if you even feel high at all) and i don’t even get tired anymore or munchies half the time. your body gets so used to it , it’s definitely better to keep it as an occasional sleep med or hunger med lol.

Doctors refused to treat my severe non stop pain and let me seize and almost die ,edibles don’t have much effect on me and smoking makes a little tired, no issues other than memory loss and I’m a heavy user

Anything in excess is wrong. I smoke one or two drags on my one hitter every night about an hour before bed for 20 plus years now. I get great sleep i have very frequent dreams and i awake refreshed and almost pain free.

Hey, just read your comment and I am considering starting weed at night. Did you have poor sleep or even insomnia and weed reversed it, or your sleep was already okayish and it got even better due to it. I have weeks when I barely sleep and I am hoping this would be helpful. Thanks for your answer

along with my other medication, weed is perfect for me because of how well it does for my sleep. i have chronic insomnia and bc of how well it makes me sleep, i love marijuana. i’m a long term smoker

@@triplex3415 it's making me sleepy, I tried 1/2 hit, then 1 hit and now 2 hits. Finally something that makes me sleep without pain all night. There is no way I could smoke this in the day time. I couldn't drive or function on this. I have ADHD that the doctors decided not to treat these days. My brain never turns off, there are times I'll lay in bed due to the pain I'm in and my brain goes from one thought to another until I'm in a ball crying because I'm forced to be in bed without pain meds and without ADHD meds...

My friend consumed an edible (made of hemp seed) ONCE. Six-seven months prior. He is having frequent panic attacks and diarrhoea related to it. How is that possible!? Will a psychiatrist be of any help or a neurologist? Will any sort of drug test be able to find any drug remnants in his blood even after these many months??
