I am not anti-vax. Just wanted to share my experience and raise awareness of a surprisingly common injury that can result from a vaccine being administered incorrectly.

After SIRVA from 2nd Covid vax, I am done. No more mass vaccine administration for me. Only from qualified medical person. Also, bruise is still there 6 months later.

Same, I'll probably only get them from doctors I trust who aren't in a rush. Weird that you still have a bruise though--mine went away after only a few days. I suppose everyone is different

Thanks for making this video ! I have SIRVA from 2nd Covid shot , 2 years now. My doctor basically ignored me when I told her my arm still hurt over a month after shot. Went back a month later because pain never left I was unable to my arm up and life was a mess. She Never put any mention in my chart about vaccine. She finally sent me to Orthopedic and I get cortisone shots. 2 years and I can lift my arm over my head now but weakness and pain persistent.

@@NeuroLushia I got my vaccines at Costco. No, the doctor even after asking when never put it I. My chart, or any mention of it. My nephew, who is in the medical field, told me that she didn't watch to do the paper work required for reporting covid vaccine issues.

Had my covid vaccine at a mass administration site in my right arm. The injection was excruciatingly painful, which I was not expecting. The technician said he never had that reaction. 2-3 days later the arm & shoulder pain began. It started to feel better a few weeks ago but now it's back to the original pain, discomfort as when it first started. It's almost 3 months since the vaccine. In retrospect I wish I had not signed up for the vaccine. I hope this will raise awareness. I'm glad I'm not alone. Can't afford to go to the doctor, so will try ibuprofen and also try to find some stretches that would help.

I feel ya. If it helps, here are some diagrams of the stretches / exercises my doctor gave me. Scroll down to "Treatment and compensation" to find them: www.neurolushia.com/2021/06/shoulder-injury-from-vaccine-sirva-read.html If the pain gets really bad and you have to go a doctor (whether or not you can afford it), compensation via the VICP should cover the medical costs (including retroactively). Though I'm not sure how long the process takes. I think in some cases, the injury can fade with time. For me, my arm didn't improve much until I got steroid shots, which required me to see a specialist.

​@@NeuroLushia I finally did go to physical therapy after seeing the doctor. The stretches they had me do made a big difference and 7 months post vaccine, my arm and range of motion are doing great. I recently received the booster with no issue.

I am still struggling with SIRVA, from a tdap vaccine I had in August 2015. More needs to be done to prevent this from ever happening in the first place.

I just got my covid vaccine yesterday afternoon. It started with the normal vaccine pain in my arm, but seemed like it hurt a bit more than usual. The person was standing while I was sitting and put the shot rather high on my arm, within the first few inches of my shoulder. I am currently unable to lift my arm higher than 6 or 7 inches off of my side. I noticed it gradually got worse as time went on and only felt slightly better after I took a hot shower, but it is very much back to how it was. I've been researching all day to figure out what it may be and this video very much helped. Thank you for telling your story. If my arms not better within a few days, I will be calling my doctor for an appointment. I'll update on how things progress. I'm hoping it's just a temporary fluke and not SIRVA. Wish me luck!

There is a vaccine injury payment for SIRVA but you only have 3 years from the date of the vaccine to make a claim. Lots of lawyers helping SIRVA people. I wish I had found out before the statute of limitations ran out!

My husband has had arm pain since he got the second covid shot at a Walgreens almost 3 months ago . He doesn’t have movement issues but he’s got random deep pulsing pain throughout his entire arm sometimes. He’s always making me massage his arm 😒

@@ScienceadobyDrEishal , yes i am better but not perfect. It’s been more than a year. I went to dr and she said there is nothing to be done for Covid arm. So i did my own research and found that cold water or ice on the pain helps. I also followed some you tube Physiotherapy videos and did the ski move with arms back and forth etc...after doing this, the pain was better. Today during humid temperatures that area flares up and it hurts again but never like the first 6 weeks. I wish you luck especially with new baby. Congratulations and enjoy the new baby! I have two boys and they are older now and they don’t need mommy anymore so enjoy every moment. 🙏🇨🇦❤️🌈🌏🌸🏄🏻‍♀️🧘🏽‍♀️

I have been in pain since the booster 6 weeks ago. The pain is in my shoulder but also wrist and forearm which are achy and stiff--I find it difficult to type. I had no initial pain--it started 2-3 days after the shot but has not gone away. I cannot sleep on that side, but I can move my arm normally, though I have lost a lot of strength. Does this sound like SIRVA to you at all?

It sounds like it could be, though I recommend seeing a bone and joint doctor for advice. I also had weakness in my arm and found it difficult to type.

I think I might have a mild case of SIRVA. The pharmacist injected my flu vaccine too high, and my arm has hurt since then. Not as bad as yours and no limited motion, but it is on and off achy and painful. Maybe a 2 to 3 out of 10. That said, I am usually a simple 0 for shot pain, so this is strange. It has been 4 days, so I am hopefull it will be okay

Thing is, it had been so long since I got my previous tetanus shot before this one, that I don't remember what "normal" tetanus shot pain was supposed to feel like. I do remember that my last one hurt a lot.

I’m not sure if I have this. Got 1st covid shot 6 days ago on my left non dominant arm. Had the soreness for about 2 days. 3rd day I was pretty much good or so I thought. 4th day my whole are started feeling weird but not the same initial soreness. The best way I could describe it is like a nerve damage feeling. It’s not the 6th day and arm still feeling this way. I’m right hand dominant and after using the mouse for so long, my arm will feel similar for a few days but eventually goes away. Thats kinda how this feels. Its just more uncomfortable than an excruciating pain.

Sounds a bit like my weird numbness I'd get in my injured arm, especially with pressure or certain sleeping positions. If it persists or gets any worse, it may be a good idea to see a doctor in any case.

What am I even supposed to do about it. If I get a doctor the risk is greater because they have less experience and if I get a nurse I don't even know who it is.

Good question. Making sure you're on the same level as the person giving the shot could help (if they're sitting, you should be sitting, if they're standing, be standing). Other than that, it's really on them to be sure they are trained.

@@NeuroLushia things go wrong the majority of times I go to hospitals, so I have a problem with this, I probably need the vaccine the thing is they don't even have clear statistics on this, and they themselves say it's under reported, what's more there are websites for nurses that urge them to "learn" about this implying they very possibly don't and it's obvious that even in the studies they only count as sirva the very serious cases, but we're talking about permanent damage, and there is no reason to believe this is not on a spectrum, what if there is a little bit of permanent damage that they just don't count, I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of cases have permanent microdamage but there's just nothing on it as far as I've seen. the politicization of this makes me suspect a lot of researchers just don't want to risk touching this so the absence of data looks even worse
