Mary has tears in her eyes when everyone sings along

Just beautiful. Like 1963 all over again. Mary is 49 here and still looks as good as she did in the early 1960s.

When we learned on September 16, 2009 that Mary Travers had died, we were shocked, saddened, and bawling like babies. The voice of an entire generation was gone forever, and it hurt a lot of us for many years to follow. But she left a legacy that to this day has never been equaled. She was an inspiration to millions with all the sweetness that only came natural to her. "When they were at Kent State University in Ohio for the 25th anniversary commemoration of the National Guard massacre, peoples emotions were poured out in a massive healing of the memories of that fateful and tragic day in 1970. There wasn't a dry eye in that entire auditorium, including Peter, Paul, and Mary. I wasn't there to see it, but I know someone that was. He was crying as he told me about it. All I could do was hug him, and offer my support.

The first time I watched this concert, she was straining a little, till about half way through leaving on a jet plane. You could see her voice and entire demeanor erupt into her old self and the boys were instantly delighted.

My wife & I attended the Bread & Roses Festival at the Greek Theater on the Berkley Campus in 77. Robin Williams, Kenny Loggins in his first solo performance since leaving Loggin & Messina, Howard Hessman from WKRP in Cincinnati, Joan Baez, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Peter Paul & Mary. Possibly the finest concert we've ever attended. The Greek Theater is an amphitheater making the acoustics quite remarkable. I'd never seen a musical act where the audience knew every word to every song Peter, Paul, & Mary had ever sung. When they stepped away from their mics during Puff the Magic Dragon and only the audience was singing, it was nothing short of magical how our voices sounded within that amphitheater. Even they were impressed. Matter of fact they were so impressed Peter & Paul ceased playing guitar and just stood there, frozen in the moment & gaping at the audience. Sounded like a choir of angles in perfect harmony.
