My fucked up story is that I have never felt interesting or valuable enough for people to want to get to know me or be a part of my life, regardless of how many times they say and act otherwise. It never fails to surprise me when people express interest in getting to know me as more than just an acquaintance and it makes me feel embarrassed and guilty to genuinely believe that I'm not more interesting or beneficial to know beyond that. I'm very lucky to have people in my life who help prove to me every day that it isn't true, but it's a constant struggle regardless.

I feel this video so strongly Mark! Incongruent is also how I would describe how I’ve been feeling these last few years. I’ve been going through a very difficult time with family and just figuring life out after going downhill for a while. Now that I’m getting to the other side it’s hard to figure out next steps. Building a life isn’t something they go over when you’re a kid and how scary that can be when you’re so different from the people surrounding you.

Hmmmm I want to share something with you. I used to be just like you, omg so much like you. I moved not only states but countries alot. Then 2 years ago I had a stroke and I lost everything. I am what's known as a young stroke survivor. The stroke taught me so much tho. I learned that all the self help books and motivational speakers weren't talking to me anymore. That all my introspection was like chasing rainbows, it always left me unsatisfied. I learned that giving to other people, selflessly wanting nothing in return is what heals and brings joy. Now all I do is meditate daily, just for stillness, nothing else. And I let the universe come to me, instead of chasing. So my advise to you is go volunteer as a big brother, or troubled youth, or homeless people or stroke survivors and do just because you can. It will change your life. Peace and love ❤️

Repeat story in my head, "You aren't important enough, they have better things to do. Don't bother them." It still gets into my head sometimes, I wasn't very good at making friends, and I have a small circle now, but I still have that thought pop up, that same story, and it makes me pull back when I shouldn't. I do better sometimes, but still sometimes I let that story write the narrative instead of myself, and it's not logical and I can't stop it sometimes, but watching this, listening to you talk, helps me think one day I'll be able to just not have that story anymore. Love this one! I remember watching your videos all through high school, living just on the brim of LA - I watched gleefully along as you first moved here and captured this city through your eyes and your energy, framing for us these vibrant tableaus of a city seemingly always unfolding. I’ve lived here for 7 years now and a video like this hit me in a whole different way. It’s beautiful still, and exciting, and in some ways new - but it’s deeper, it feels more substantial. It’s you changing and me changing and all this space between, it’s a wave of nostalgia for what I first saw this place as, crashing over what it is now. Loved it, keep it up

I've had imposter syndrome many times in different situations. Through therapy it helped me realize I'm causing my own suffering and now I try and re-write the narrative in my head. Definitely takes awareness and repetition but it's been improving bit by bit!

In answer to your question, there is one fucked up scenario that plays in my head, but it's gradually getting played less and less. Throughout my last three years of high school and five years of college (I did English Literature, and Computer Sciences), I had one girl, who was constantly bullying me, and telling me that I'll never be sexy or desirable. About twelve years ago, i moved away from the town I grew up in, and then blocked the bully across everything, and now I'm a confident and very sexy man who is incredibly desirable according to what my followers tell me.
