Installed this model in one side (MY side) of a large 5' x 6' his and hers shower that I built as a pandemic project, having ripped out a huge tub that we never used. Love it. I regularly inspect the hole that the hoses pass thru via an access panel. No water or mold. Only problem I have had is too much flow! Without the flow restrictor, the body sprays shoot all the way to the other wall! I found that the proper wall height mounting for me is about eye level with the temperature display. Anyway, so far, so good. At least a couple of years now.

Mr. Thorman used a laser to check that the holes for the mounting brackets were vertically aligned. It's also a good idea, after securing the shower tower to the wall, to check that the unit is centered as desired and isn't tilted, because typically each bracket allows considerable lateral play, almost equal to the width of the shower tower.

Looking to put new install on other side of bathroom wall, then later knock out some of it. If I put some kind of shower/enclosure directly on my old lathed plaster, could I then drill Plex sized holes in wall to put PLEX directly down to basement a few feet away, and do the hookup there? I would connect the PLEX that goes down through the wall with 1/2 inch fittings INSIDE the Tower Unit, so NO leak could happen in wall, and would not need to bust up the plaster much... (OLD HOUSE)

I watched this video probably 100 times. Each time I learn something new. I`m re-piping my home and decided to go and buy a Shower Panel. I have a Ello & Allo brand and it`s very similar to your unit. Question, my outlet hoses on my unit are like yours, they go downward. I`m re-piping my PEX from the ceiling downward like your pex. (My home has 40 year old pipes and under a concrete slab) . Just like you, I will be attaching my PEX and curl the Shower Panel Hoses upward to meet my PEX. But I happen to notice on my unit that it states not to curl hoses upward. I personally don`t think there is any harm. What do you think?

When getting a shower panel (Shower tower) I suggest your viewers do not purchase a recessed panel which mounts between studs within the shower wall and get the usual one that mounts on the shower wall (porcelain/ceramic) as shown in this great video. Although the recessed panels are aesthetically pleasing if there is a leak you do not see it unless you are fortunate and can install an access panel behind it. I had a bad experience with a polished stainless steel top line panel that although selling for about $1,000 used 90 degree bend brass female plumbing connectors for the hot/cold feed lines. These connectors slightly leaked but fortunately I replaced them with straight180 degree connectors purchased at Lowe's/Home Depo. I noticed this leak because I had installed an access panel (the wall behind the tower is a clothing closet) but often it is not possible to install an access panel. I am a professional Contractor-Handyman and just still love your fantastic videos which give some good tips. Actually I am addicted to watching your videos and other professionals on KZbin. Thank You.

We had a shower panel stop working because there was a plastic manifold that cracked. We had to replace it and it's not that easy because the brackets on the walls are different locations and distance.
