Did you caulk the holes in the tile before tapping in the drywall/tile screw? And then cut the exposed part? Can you explain/confirm ? Thank you!!!

You don’t have to worry about marring that extension piece when you put those pliers on them to tighten them as that piece is hidden. What tips and tricks do you do when you want to tighten a piece of pipe without marring them? Yes while we have smooth pliers they won’t work as well for a round pipe some people put several rounds of tape (electrical tape) and put pliers which can bite and provide suffice rotational torque to tighten. Any other tips to stop marring?

what did you do to prevent the tower from sliding side to side on the mounting clips? (silicone?)

I didn’t do anything for that, but I think silicone would be your best bet
