There's a very interesting clip of a Russian MIG-29 shooting down a Georgian drone on youtube. Rare as the drone captured the flight of the incoming missile until it was destroyed. Also some pics out there of the Russians taking US Humvees that were due to be shipped back to the US after a joint exercise, and pics of them destroying a large cache of US supplied M-4 rifles the Georgians had. I have always likened the Georgian war with Russia, to Manuel Noriega's attack on US forces in the Panama Canal Zone: the act of madmen, or fools. In any case, I did not know that Georgian anti-aircraft forces had performed as well as this. It seems like a rather high aircraft loss rate for the Russians, for a 2-3 day war with an inconsequential neighbor. I wonder what kind of losses the Russians might encounter in Ukraine, if Putin orders an invasion. Certainly the Russian Army will prevail, but how will the Russian Air Force perform in the face of an almost certainly stronger Ukrainian air defense network?
@showtime1122 жыл бұрын
As I wrote in the other comment, Georgian anti-aircraft defense wasn't very successful. Russians were flying many combat sorties without much interference. Sure, Ukrainians are a lot more dangerous but Russians will probably take them more seriously too.

@@andrekarim320 I think that Ukraine entering NATO is an unnecessary and reckless provocation, to which Russia will have no choice but to respond - however, all things aside, the second half of my post does not discuss what is right or wrong, but merely ponders what risks may lie ahead for the Russian Air Force in a large-scale operation in Ukraine, given that it lost nearly a dozen aircraft against Georgia, whose military strength is among the least in the world. If the war in Ukraine begins, the debate of who is right or wrong will end, and rather the question of who survived and who did not, will have prominence.

Great video, brother! This war, i believe in 2008? Was relatively unexpected, at least by those who were not closely following the preceding events. *WAR, no matter the euphemisms that the elites attempt to use to describe it to us, (in a petty and insulting manner to usurp our minds ability to fully understand and appreciate the consequences and horrors of it), is a disgusting, unnecessary and very nasty business. I pray one day soon, that those individuals, the real warmongers, shall be forced to lead the infantry from the very front themselves.* [ *INFANT-RY* that literally means *'Child Soldiers'* btw ] In this more simple way, Wars would be very scarce indeed. Imagine for a moment please: Putin, Biden, Merkel, etc. etc. etc. Would be required to get fully kitted up, get their $hitte together... and actually fight one another, and inevitably some would be killed as a result. *Wars would be much more rare, if ever even were sparked off, if the actual beneficiary of it's spoils were at risk of dying in the hot dirt, like we common people are.* [By the way bro, I am not getting any alerts from KZbin for your videos. Just letting you know. My sub and bell is on, I just happen to be perusing the latest videos of the day and saw your video from 4 days ago. Be well man.] 😎🇺🇸🙏
