I seams that when i playback from the red marker the music has reloaded slower than the light scenes and the music has not changed its position on the audio timeline.

I have the showxpress and i would like to know that when i'm using the live creating a lightshow. that when i drop the red marker at a certain place to playback. somehow the music has either skiped ahead or back 2-3 sec from where i added light scenes. I have to start from the beginning of the show every time to place light scenes at the certain place where i want. Why is this and how do i fix the problem. i am using PC not MAC fyi

Thanks completely to you we have a working set of buttons that our church volunteer can step through. Can I ask how you would set up variations of that set? I wondered if I could easily duplicate the working set then edit some of the buttons for a different theme? Is there a neat way to do this? I'd like to keep the "working set" safe until I'm ready to go live.

Hey +randallpatrickc , I'm glad to hear that you got some scenes set up in LIVE. I would create 1 Page that has your core scenes. Then I would create other pages that has the different themed scenes. I would recommend not editing your core scenes. I would simply start fresh on creating your scene in the editor or generator. Hope this helps!

Hey thank you for your video. My question is would I need a dimmer pack with the box or is it straight from the box to the lights?

Hey Debbie, The xpress 512 box simply sends out a dmx signal to any fixtures that accept dmx. A dimmer pack accepts dmx and allows you to dim non-dmx capable light fixtures. Example would be a par can. It just has a standard 3 prong edison plug. Hope this helps!

Do you have any videos on how to program the scorpion laser lights? We are having zero luck finding tutorials and are looking at returning them if cant program.... i have showxpress but the RGB ILS fixture wont respond to anything i try in showxpress...

Hi, Don't have a tutorial directly for the scorpion laser but there is a few things to check to make sure you are connected. 1. Make sure Dongle is connected and green light blinking when SX is running. 2. In SX, make sure DMX Output toggle is ON in STEPS & LIVE to send signal to the fixture . 3. Make sure correct fixture profile is patched inside ShowXpress. 4. Make sure Scorpion is in dmx mode and addressed correctly. If all those things are in order and you can't control the fixture then there could be a problem with the cable, dmx input on fixture or the fixture itself.

@@ShowXpressTraining Well we did find out that showxpress does not work with the ENTEC box so that is one problem. So we're exchanging it for a chauvet interface. Also was told the lights need to be connected when programming. I thought the 3D viewer window would show everything we were trying to program so i didn't hook them up to the computer. So will switch out the box and also hook up the lights and THEN start trying to program.

Do you have to have the hardware before you can use the software? I wanted to try it before I bought the ShowXpress but it wouldn't open. I would get an error saying "Library: 'elk_harware' not found". Am I doing something wrong or do I just need an interface to open the program?

Either will work. It really depends on preference. I personally use a mac with midi board.

How do you save in this program? I started playing with the program and already am encountering numerous crashes which are frustrating me. I thankfully finally got a segment saved to a timeline folder, but is there a way to save entire projects? And is there a way to prevent the program from opening the previously opened project? Because I made a mistake earlier and it basically prevented me from opening the program at all. Got it fixed, but frustrating. Loved the tutorials!

There is two types of SAVE's in the program. The first one is in STEPS, GENERATOR, and PIXEL editors, after editing your scenes and generated movements then you will click save to save your scene. The second Save is in the LIVE section. This is where you import your scenes to run your show from. The Save button is in the top left corner of the window ( next to the 3 parrell line settings tab and the pause button) Hope this helps! Darren

A obey 40 is great to start on, but if your ready to take your show to the next level, then give ShowXpress a try! You can download the program for free and try it out. Hey Christopher, Select all your uplights in the 2d window in the editor. From there, select the RGB/CMY tab and select your color shade. This will adjust your uplighting to that color. You might need to adjust your dimmer for the lights to turn on. Hope this helps!

DJ Rolando Hey DJ! First import the fixtures then the scenes that you want those current fixtures to be included in. Simply open the scene in editor and edit in the new fixtures. Some scenes you might have to re-create with the added fixtures. Also, depending on your fixtures, you could just set the two new fixtures to the same address as the other ones. Sure, by audio rythmic I mean when you just connect a light to the energy and it moves just with the music and sound.

+Juan Manuel Vivas I understand now, you are referring to "Sound Active mode". Depending on the fixture you have but it should work. If you are getting interference with the fixtures on the other side of your chain then you might still have to run dmx mode and create a bpm button.

Good day, I bought many lights and showxpress512. I have a problem with the software. In LIVE I already made buttons for every fixture and it is working but every time I tried to press 2 or 3 fixtures in one time it won't let me do it. How can I fix this? this does make sense I can't turn on all my lights at the same time.
