the main riff switches between lydian and minor btw, not e minor strictly. the 5-6 semitone movement indicates a mode of lydian,, and there are chromatic passages obviously. the 0-3-0-2-3-0-3 part is in e minor

Its quite hard, but manageable, first learn the guitar part until you can play it without thinking too much, and then work on synchonizing your playing with your singing, its hard, but doable, i can do it albeit not really as good as Mustaine 😅

It’s not too hard. You can do it if you realIe that there’s a lot of similarities in the riff and singing. For example, people think playing and singing holy wars at the same time is really hard, it’s much simpler to do than you thought. The singing and riff line up. Don’t think of it as two different parts.

More complex doesn’t mean better. Old me would have definitely taken Metallica over Megadeth. I was not a big fan of megadeth. But now that I’ve acquired a taste for them, and studied a lot of Marty’s stuff, I have a whole different appreciation for them, and definitely like them more than (post ride the lighting) Metallica. Just don’t tell Metallica....
@dudeman10943 жыл бұрын
Same here on acquiring the taste... I still love metallica, but they seem like easy listening compared to megadeth's guitar work... its like a flavorful melodic mix of badassery.... I find myself not liking any vocals of any metal these days. I just want to hear the guitars scream...
