I'm the same with over filtration, I have a double sponge filter mod attached to the PAT mini filter in all my tanks including my 5 gallon nano tank. I aim the flow at the back panel and there's plenty of spots the shrimp can shelter. The ones in my room I can turn the air off at night and they filter about 5 times the tanks volume per hour in complete SILENCE. I will never ever use an air pump again. If you have a powerhead you can make the same mod without the AquaEl Pat mini but I believe it is actually more powerful and more durable.

Just watched your part one vid and subscribe and now watching part two hope I can have that kind of luck when start my tank my tap water ok but have no way to get RO water without out going 2 hours away so try to get my water to work great info

You do not need RO water. There are other ways to lower PH GH & KH

Hi Are you breeding for profit? I saw that normally breeders dont mix different species in one tank! I heard that usually mixing different types will cause having not beautiful hybrids. But as I saw your Hybrids are great.

Hydra comes in on new plants or livestock. I'm almost positive it doesn't just appear on it's own

If I have hydra and seed shrimps and I do not want to use medication to remove it, can I put in a otocinclus and maybe they can eat away some of these bugs in my shrimp tank? @@SooShrimpBreeders

You have to replace Amazonia eventually right? If so how do you do it? I can't imagine sucking it all up and adding more since there's just SO many baby shrimp everywhere

I'm going to reset the tank probably. I've heard of a lot of breeders just having a cycled tank that they just take substrate out of and replace only a few scoops every couple weeks

Shirakura bee soil is the best, no amonia and no nitrat… you can put your hardscape and set your shrimp in the tank on the same day… 😉
