I completely feel that last confession of "I have bad genetics". My mother is physically chronically deathly ill but her mind is sharp as a tack, and my father is mentally ill but physically fit as an ox... I am both mentally and physically ill... I got the worst of both sides. I have ADHD, Autism, Bipolar disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD. On top of that I have Hashimotos/Hypothyroidism, Endometriosis, IBD/Crohns disease, Celiac disease, Fibromyalgia, Interstitial Cystitis, Uterine Fibroids, and Hypermobility with my joints that causes horrible pain. I hate it all so much... All partners (especially marriage partners) that I have been with swore they were fine without having kids, said they didnt need them to be happy, and that they just wanted me... They ended up either cheating and getting another girl pregnant and leaving me for her, or mentally gaslighting me until I caved and he tried getting me pregnant repeatedly with no luck (THANK GOD). My current fiance knows all of this and I have made sure that when Im going through a pain attack, a celiac reaction, a nerve flare, a hormone spike, or an acid attack from Crohns, I called him to my side to see it all and experience it all. I have done my best to show him that I have miscarried a daughter before, and I know I cannot carry a healthy baby, let alone be healthy myself, so I need him to know its either a surrogate, adoption, or NOTHING. I refuse to take that 43% chance of death and 86% of complications during delivery.... I will not leave my husband alone with a newborn. I cant. With pain and sacrifice comes responsibility, and he knows that. Im just sorry that it hurts the people I love...
