Yamamoto's development is handled great and poetically in the TYBW, it's one of the best examples of show don't tell. I think you guys have a strong skewed view of Bleach is this very basic Shounen, which you can watch it in that way, but you'll miss much of what the narrative actually does. It's the blessing and curse of Bleach, it didn't pander fully to the Shounen genre which I prefer, but people what Shounen 101 that's why OP is king, so easy to follow...simple and fun, complexity or being unique often equals hate and is only gifted with influence i.e DS, JJK, and BC

This was a good anime/manga with so much wasted potential. A milquetoast protagonist, constant i'm faster and stronger powerups, rushed final battles. When I was young I couldn't understand what I disliked about Bleach, when I got older I realized it was the main character. Everything and everyone else is far more interesting then the main character, and watching him be the biggest baddest weapon against 100-1000 year old spirit samurai was confusing and inconsistent. You can use all the headcanon you want to explain how he won or survived, but he won victory after victory with 1-2 weeks of training and insurmountable willpower. Bleach was good, and I really enjoyed the supporting cast. Once all the attention was moved from them to Ichigo I slowly zoned out and just stopped. Thank goodness I finished the Aizen Arc, though it had its flaws, I enjoyed it thoroughly. The exploration of the supporting cast was excellent. And for those of you in the comments who make comparisons to OP, don't. These are 2 different monsters. One Piece is anything but a simple fun generic shonen romp, and if you think so you haven't consumed the media.

Japanese pronounciation is simple if you remember that the only long vowls are o and u. The rest are normally short vowls. A (ah) e (ae) I (ee) o (oh) u (oo)

Definitely don’t trust the dub for pronunciation They try but some names are definitely inaccurate. You can’t really directly give the Japanese pronunciation in English without it sounding out of place and ridiculous sometimes, especially with bleach names imo. Im really glad I took some Japanese classes before I read bleach because I DEFINITELY would have struggled with pronunciation. Although now that I’m in the TWBY arc I’m struggling with all the German names🤣
