One opener I use when in a heavily canvassed area by multiple contractors is “Have you been approached by a lot of contractors in the recent months?” They often kind of laugh and say “yes I have oh my goodness what is going on?...you’re like the 8th guy this past month. Then I simply ask..”Well what’s your thoughts on that?” Or “so where are you at in the process?” Works great.

There are thousands of sales books for free on KZbin. If your in sales and your not reading/listening to at least one sales book a week, you will never make the money you want to be making. I listen to 2-4 books a week just doing my regular stuff. Get a blue tooth speaker and bring that bad boy everywhere, I listen when I wake up, in the shower, driving, cleaning. I even make my kids listen to them. I fully believe that there is not one aspect of anyone's life that cant be made better because of their ability to sell.

PREACH MY DUDE! 🙌 I agree 100%. Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar, Oren Klaff, Joseph Sugarman and many many more!

Thanks so much for this Adam. I'm struggling with canvassing for my new window cleaning company and your videos are really helping. I've been finding it hard to find an open ended question for window cleaning? I've been thinking "how are you managing with your window cleaning?" But I'm not confident with this one. Do you have a good idea for open ended question for window cleaning? I hope to hear from you.
@TheRoofStrategist3 жыл бұрын
DIG it man! Quite a few folks here doing window cleaning and adapting my strategies. Open ended questions - When was the last time you had your windows squeaky cleaned inside and out? How often are you cleaning your windows inside and out? Just a few thoughts to experiment with :)

I’m guilty , not quite that fast but I do tend to word vomit a bit , I try my best to slow it down , and the SLAP is gold I’ve used it since day one , less than a month into roof sales and 7 on the roster ready to get built with a couple home runs on deck . Thank you for all the info you provide . You have given me the ammo I needed to jump into this head first with confidence.
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Hey man! So pumped to hear that SLAP has helped out a ton. YES it will help you word vomit less - and believe me, I was 100% guilty of the same thing in the beginning. It's sort of like a martial art. Simple movements (or pitching) take time to distill down into action that you can master without even thinking. 7 sales on the board is solid and will set you up for a great year :) I'm happy to help and can't wait to hear more about your continued success!

Do you let them speak first when they open the door? Or do you introduce yourself first then let them talk? Who had the first line?
@TheRoofStrategist2 жыл бұрын
Great question. Slow down and be patient. Sometimes they'll speak first. Sometimes they'll be silent. I use the forehead raise and eyebrow flash with a smile instantly to put them at ease. Then I'll hear them out, or I'll speak first if they are silent.
@two15AQhdc3s4 жыл бұрын
This is next level stuff brother! Let that silence loom 😂😂😂 you had me rolling. I love it man. I wanted to give you an update. I had a 60 day review with my VP last month... they bumped me up from 15 to 20% commission to keep selling instead of taking the FS position!!! Fast forward to my 12th week in the business with 70 approved jobs on the board sitting at 4th place in the company in sales out of 4 offices and I started fresh in the business with 0 experience (other than mattresses sales) on June 1st. Thanks again for everything you do for the community brother!

Car salesmen are a gas. They try to sell lemons that's why they don't get sales. If someone's at your dealership they probably have specific cars they want to see not the unsellable lemons.
